Kumquat is a kind of good-looking and delicious fruit potted plant. Plant one or two kumquat plants at home and pay attention to two "actions". The fruit is full of branches and you can't finish it.

The first action: planting

Kumquat usually requires a slightly acidic sandy loam or gravelly loam with a deep soil layer, good drainage and a pH value of 6-6.5. When transplanting, the root should carry a soil ball and remove the branches properly. The following four points should be paid attention to in daily management:

First, the soil can not be alkaline, if it has been alkaline should be immediately improved with chemical fertilizer. Second, kumquat likes fertilizer, applying base fertilizer in combination with deep ploughing every winter and topdressing in the growing season. Third, plastic surgery and pruning should be moderate.

When kumquat is used as a potted ornamental, it is usually changed once every 2 to 3 years. After viewing the fruit in winter, the fruit can be completely removed during the Spring Festival and changed during the period from the Spring Equinox to Qingming Festival. When changing the basin, pruning and pruning, the root basically maintains the original soil ball, and the outer old soil, rotten root and long root can be cut off. When pruning, the branches of the previous year were cut off from the 2-3 buds at the base.

The planting soil is 4 humus soil, 5 sand soil, 1 cake fertilizer, or 4 humus soil, 2 garden soil, 3 yellow sand and 1 mature compost. After all crushing and sifting, the basin is generally one size larger than the original basin when fully mixed and prepared to change the basin. First lay a layer of culture soil at the bottom of the basin, then apply 50g / 100g horseshoe slices or other rotten organic fertilizer as base fertilizer, cover it with a thin layer of soil, and then plant the renovated plants in the basin.

The second action: water and fertilizer

Kumquat should have sufficient water and nutrients during the growing period. Potted kumquat usually leaves the house at the beginning of May. Before leaving the room, one rotten dry dung or cruller residue can be applied, 30g to 50g per pot. After leaving the room, the basin is first placed in a half-cloudy and half-sunny place, and immediately watered once to make it gradually adapt to the outdoor climate environment. In the future, it will be watered as soon as it dries, so that the basin soil will always be moist.

Half a month after leaving the room, you can apply a special organic dilute fertilizer for fruits and vegetables, diluting 500 times to irrigate the roots. After a period of outdoor exercise, it can be cultivated directly in the open air and given sufficient water. Except for cloudy days, flood water should be watered once a day, and liquid fertilizer should be applied once a week.

Summer is the season for vigorous growth and flowering of plants. In addition to watering once every afternoon, it should be watered again in the morning. When you see the white soil in the basin, you should replenish water properly. Topdressing should also be increased to once every 3 to 5 days.

Due to the heavy rain in the north after autumn, the stagnant water in the basin should be removed in time. After autumn, watering and fertilization should be reduced appropriately. Moved to a sunny place for cultivation in the first and middle of October. After entering the house, the plant will gradually enter a semi-dormant state, that is, watering should be controlled, usually once every 3-5 days. The room temperature should be stable at 5-10 ℃ in winter.
