Tiger skin orchid is a common decorative plant in home, because tiger skin orchid has lower requirements for living environment, can survive without too much sunlight, and has a better role in purifying the air and absorbing toxic substances. it releases oxygen almost all day, so many people will put a few pots in the guest room or study to achieve the goal of reducing indoor carbon dioxide concentration. There is a pot of tiger skin orchid at home that has been raised for six years, which not only blossoms but also bears fruit this year. It is really rare for the editor to see it for the first time.

Tiger skin orchid usually blossoms only once every five years or so, so flowering tiger skin orchid is relatively rare, that is to say, not every plant will blossom, and it does not blossom every year, perhaps only once a few years, or even more than ten years, so it takes patience and perseverance to grow this kind of flower. In fact, as long as proper maintenance, tiger skin orchid can blossom every year, want their own tiger skin orchid blossom and bear fruit, in fact, it is very simple, as long as all of the following can be done.

Tiger Pilan does not have high requirements for fertilizer. Dilute liquid fertilizer is applied once or twice a month in the growing season, and standard liquid fertilizer is applied once a month during the active growth period to ensure that the leaves are green and thick. Do not fertilize too much, generally use compound fertilizer. In the peak growth period, you can apply fertilizer once or twice a month, mature compost or nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, or evenly bury 3 holes of cooked soybeans in the soil at the edge of the basin, 10 grains per hole, be careful not to come into contact with the root. Fertilization should be stopped from November to March of the following year.

The tiger skin orchid should be watered in the right amount and master the principle that it would rather be dry than wet. Dust on the leaves can be scrubbed with clean water to keep the leaves clean and bright. When sprouting new plants at the root neck in spring, the basin should be properly watered to keep the basin moist, and the basin soil should be kept moist in high temperature season in summer; after the end of autumn, the amount of watering should be controlled to keep the basin soil relatively dry to enhance cold resistance.

Tiger Pilan has a wide range of adaptation to light, with strong growth and bright leaves in an environment with sufficient light, so it should be given sufficient light all year round except that it should be placed in a semi-shady place from June to September in midsummer. But it is also very shade-tolerant, and it will not die when it is arranged in dark places indoors for a long time, but the growth rate decreases obviously. It is best for such potted plants to receive more light slowly after 1-2 months, and there should be a transitional relaxation time in the middle. Be careful not to put it in a place with strong light immediately, as it is easy to burn the leaves.

If you can achieve the above points, you can blossom and bear fruit in four or five years. But Tiger Pilan turns out to have a condition that it needs moths to pollinate it, and of course flower friends can also pollinate it artificially.
