Seedling raising and planting techniques of Purple Yam the propagation coefficient of tuber increased to 25-40 times

Purple yam, also known as "purple ginseng", is eaten with its hypertrophic tuber root or cylindrical root. Purple yam is rich in anthocyanins and has a wide range of uses. it can be used not only as a delicacy on the dinner table, but also as a health medicine. Purple yam can reduce blood pressure, blood sugar, anti-decline and longevity, strengthen brain and intelligence, and enhance human immunity. As a new variety of purple yam, Xunong purple yam can not be purified and rejuvenated by its own yam beans as common white yam. At present, purple yam is propagated by tuber cutting, and its propagation coefficient is only 10-15 times, which greatly limits the reproduction and promotion of purple yam, and the survival rate and survival quality of cultivated purple yam seedlings are poor.

(a) Purple Yam tuber planting: on April 6-10, the Xunong purple medicine tuber with weight of 60g/ was selected and soaked in the rooting powder No. 5 solution with the concentration of 600ppm for 80s. The tuber was completely immersed in 3cm below the liquid level. After taking out and drying the surface, the purple yam tuber was planted on the seedling bed. The seedling bed was composed of fine soil or nutrient soil added with farm fertilizer, and the overall soil moisture was suitable. The purple yam tuber was planted on the top and bottom of the soil. The planting space of each tuber was 20 × 20cm 2, and the soil thickness after planting was 3-5cm. 200-300ml was sprayed evenly during planting, and then 150-200ml was sprayed on the seedling bed every 7 days until the end of April.

(B) Seedling preparation of purple yam: on May 10-25, 6g/ mu of paclobutrazol powder was sprayed on the seeding bed, once every 5 days, 3 times continuously. After the seedlings of purple yam grew to 20-25cm, they were cut off on the ground. In the same way, paclobutrazol powder was sprayed regularly. After the seedling length was appropriate, the seedlings were cut, and the seedlings were sprayed repeatedly for 4-5 cycles.

(C) Seedling cutting of purple yam: screening and discarding the thin, moth-eaten seedlings of purple yam. The intact seedlings were planted in a cutting shed sprinkled with farm manure when the temperature was below 28 ℃ in the afternoon. The cutting space of each seedling was 25 × 25cm 2. After cutting, 1.5 kg/ mu of rooting powder 5 solution was sprayed on the branches and leaves of seedlings. After 10 days, 0.5 kg/ mu of rooting powder 5 solution was sprayed again. By covering the cutting shed with film, hay and spray cooling, the temperature is adjusted to 25-30 ℃ during the day, 22-25 ℃ at night, and the humidity is controlled at 85-90%.

(d) growth of purple yam seedlings: 24g/ mu of paclobutrazol powder was sprayed on the leaves of planted seedlings on June 10-15, and 50g/ mu of paclobutrazol powder was sprayed on the leaves of seedlings after 10 days to promote the growth and development of purple yam roots. After June 20, after 10:00 and before 3 pm, open the film and hay covered on the cutting shed to ensure that purple yam seedlings can carry out full photosynthesis. After September 20, remove the film and hay from the shed so that the seedlings can grow freely and normally. From June 10 to September 20, the temperature in the shed was maintained at 25-28 ℃ and the humidity was 85-90% by film, hay and spray in the shed to promote the growth and development of stems and leaves of Chinese yam. On September 20-22, the purple yam was sprayed with a solution 25kg/ mu composed of a mixture of DA-6 and rutol milk powder at 1:1, 5 days later. 15kg/ mu of solution composed of the mixture of DA-6 and rutin milk powder at 2:1 was sprayed again to promote the growth of yam.

(e) Purple yam harvest: on October 15-30, the purple yam was dug out after ripening, dried and stored indoors at a temperature of 10-15 ℃ and suitable humidity.

The propagation coefficient of this seedling is 35 times, and the rooting rate, survival rate and potato setting rate are all above 83. 6%.
