The three hurdles that the novice gentleman orchid has to go through, cultivate the soil, put on the basin, and water.

To cultivate the soil, we should first choose the rotten leaf soil that has rotted for about 2 years, remove the impurities inside, tear it into 3 centimeters square, and then sift it with a tool.

The crumbs under the sieve

Then dig out the soil of the old basin and be careful not to damage the root of the gentleman orchid.

Remove the old soil from the roots

Sift the old soil, remove the fine debris, leave it thick, then add 30% pine needles to the screened rotten leaf soil, put in the screened old soil, and mix some river sand and charcoal, so that the soil is ready.

Put on the basin:

First put soil at the bottom of the basin. Press down

Fill the gap in the middle of the gentleman's orchid root and press it a little bit.

Put it into the basin and pay attention to finding a gap on the edge of the root so that the filling can be made into the middle gap.

Then fill the soil along the edge of the basin and press it while filling. Be sure to press it.

In this way, lift the neck, can be lifted together with the basin, so that the basin is qualified.

The newly planted magnolia should be washed with water the next day, on the one hand, it can wash away the rubbish in the soil, and on the other hand, the soil can fully absorb water, because rotten leaf soil is a medium that does not have a strong ability to absorb water at the beginning, so it is necessary to fully absorb the water in the soil until there is clear water flowing from the bottom.

Watering:

Usually in the cultivation, watering must be thoroughly, just watered through, the water content in the soil is generally 70%, slowly transition to 30%, the need for watering, family cultivation is generally 3 days to replenish water, 6 days to water thoroughly, because the gentleman orchid uses a special medium, so watering should be slow, otherwise the water will flow away from the cracks in the soil, my watering method is to wet the surface of the basin soil first. Then, after half an hour or so, drench again with this little amount of water and repeat it again and again until the bottom of the basin drips out of the water, so that the water can be completely watered and the basin soil is completely thoroughly watered.

The rotten leaf soil used by Gentleman is rotten for more than 2 years, and when it is usually watered through, it is also rotting, especially in summer, when it rotates, it is easy to produce heat, easily produce bacteria, produce anthrax, damage the leaf surface, and affect its appearance, so it is generally necessary to use fungicides frequently. In summer, it is usually the last time in a month or so, and it is best to rotate several fungicides to avoid drug resistance.

There is such rotten leaf soil on the market.
