Nowadays, more and more friends like to raise some potted plants at home, such as ivy, green pineapple, hanging orchid and so on, which can not only green the home environment, but also purify the air. Of course, in addition to potted plants, you can also plant some fruits on the balcony, such as watermelons, strawberries and so on. So, today, I would like to introduce a kind of fruit, known as the "king of fruit juice". It will be planted in a pot in summer, the vine will blossom and bear fruit, and the balcony will become smaller in a second. Let's take a look.

[potted method of passion fruit 1]

Passion fruit can not be too intensive cultivation, the scientific planting distance is 3m, generally speaking, a medium-sized basin (washbasin or bucket size) can only grow one, or the basin can be more than this, but not too small. In depth, cultivation generally needs to be as deep as 60cm, and some families use foam boxes for growing vegetables, which can also be used for cultivation. It should also be emphasized that drainage should be guaranteed, and holes can be drilled at the bottom of the basin or box to ensure smooth drainage; it can be planted all the year round.

The easiest way to plant is to dry the seeds of the finished passion fruit directly into a basin and soak for 1 to 2 days before entering the basin. If you want to increase the rate of budding, you can first cultivate it in a small vessel and wait for it to sprout and put it into a large basin. If you want to choose the method of cutting, the requirement is an one-year stick, find it in a small basin with sand, sprout and move into a large basin. Pay attention to keeping the soil moist after entering the basin. Passion fruit is a vine plant, so pay attention to set up scaffolding when entering the pot; pay attention to the use of potash fertilizer when fertilizing, do not overuse nitrogen fertilizer, and it is best to use it after flowering. Branch changes should be done in the summer. During flowering, pollination needs to be carried out manually, and the pollen can be directly applied to the pistil head with a soft brush, or the pollen sac can be melted and sprayed. Passion fruit likes the sun, so be careful to put it in the sun.

[potted method 2 of passion fruit]

Pot planting of passion fruit is super simple, and planting passion fruit mainly adopts two methods: sowing and cutting. For the sake of early and easy fruiting of potted passion fruit, cuttings propagated by branches are better used in potted seedlings. The specific methods are as follows: cutting branches from high-yielding and healthy plants; each cuttage should be two or three long, the lower incision should be 1cm, and the upper incision should be 2cm above the terminal bud. When cutting cuttings, leave half of the upper leaf to one leaf. After insertion, it is necessary to maintain the humidity of the seedling bed, use plastic film small arch shed or greenhouse to raise seedlings, and drench water every day to maintain humidity; when the temperature is high in sunny days, it is necessary to open the heat dissipation in time. After pot planting, appropriate application of phosphorus and potash fertilizer, combined with appropriate pruning measures, to promote flowering and fruiting, and set up a frame at the edge of the basin to allow it to climb. In order to inhibit overgrowth, potted plants are more likely to blossom and bear fruit.

In addition, passion fruit likes light, and home keeping should be placed on a sunny balcony, windowsill and rooftop, with 3 to 4 hours of direct sunlight every day, which can be moved to indoor windows in winter. The three seasons of spring, summer and autumn are the period of prosperous growth, so the basin soil should be kept moist and often watered through, but not stagnant water. Topdressing liquid fertilizer once every 2 weeks, fortunately, fertilizing when the basin soil is dry, in order to improve fertilizer efficiency, the fertilization concentration is generally as follows: application of rotten organic fertilizer, application concentration of about 3%, application concentration of inorganic fertilizer, application concentration of about 0.1%. To reduce watering in winter, we only need to keep the potted soil dry and stop fertilizing; potted passion fruit can rely on insect pollination, artificial pollination is the best. The flowers of passion fruit are in full bloom at about 10:00 in the morning, when it is better to collect pollen, and pollination must be carried out before the flowers fully unfold to 4 pm on the same day. Finally, enjoy the delicious food.

[potted method of passion fruit 3]

Potted passion fruit needs a basin 50 cm wide in diameter, which should not be too small; passion fruit should be planted in February-March of each year, when the climate is the best; passion fruit is a vine fruit tree with extended branches, so scaffolding must be set up during cultivation for management and harvest. There are many forms of scaffolding, mainly horizontal scaffolding and single-line hedge scaffolding; passion fruit does not need strong cutting every year, if excessive pruning, it is easy to make the main vine gradually wither, and in serious cases the whole plant dies. At the same time, the overdense branches must be thinned every summer, or the branches that droop and drag the ground must be cut off at about 20-30cm from the ground to maintain good ventilation. The suitable fertilization principle for passion fruit is the ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium at 2:1:4. The fruit expands rapidly within 15 days after flowering, so the management of fertilizer and water should be strengthened, especially the application of potash fertilizer, so as to promote the rapid expansion of the fruit. In winter, no matter in the south or north, it is best to move to a warm indoor place to survive the winter, otherwise the upper part of the main stem and lateral branches will be frozen and withered, or even the whole plant will freeze to death.
