Geranium

Geranium is a very beautiful household plant, decorated windowsill, placed on the table, are very suitable, its beautiful flowers are always as dense as a small bouquet, as bright as a large umbrella. But you know that if you take good care of this flower umbrella, it will become a big flower ball! Flower words of geranium: accidental encounter, you are my happiness, symbolizing the beginning of beautiful love.

Geranium is a kind of plant that likes a cool and ventilated environment. It needs enough sunshine, water and fertilizer in the peak growing season (spring and autumn), but it is afraid of heat, so spending summer is the biggest maintenance difficulty, while in winter, as long as it is above 0 degrees, it can pass the winter safely. For the conservation of geraniums, we still sum up according to the usual main points:

1. Soil

To use loose and permeable soil, the cultivated soil can be prepared with a mixture of humus, peat, perlite and organic fertilizer, peat + perlite = 2:1, which is still very useful for geranium cultivation. Water retention, air permeability, root affinity are very good, light weight. If you want to reduce the cost, you can use coconut bran to replace part of the peat. Friends who really don't want to buy soil can dig some rotten leaf soil and pine needles under the pine tree. As a whole, we must achieve the effect of looseness and ventilation, and it is best to turn the basin once in autumn.

Second, watering

The spring and autumn season is the growing season for geraniums. The indoor environment with heating in winter can actually be regarded as the growing season. In fact, it mainly depends on the temperature. 10-25 degrees is the most suitable growth temperature for geraniums.

The water and fertilizer of geraniums in the growing season should keep up, especially at the flowering stage, where the water consumption is relatively large. Although the geranium is dry-resistant and short-term dehydration is not life-threatening, it can cause damage to root hair, affect growth rate or cause buds loss.

Because the weather, temperature, light, ventilation, the size of the flowerpot, the size of the plant, and the cultivation substrate are all different, the idea of watering it every few days is very unscientific. Generally speaking, it can be combined with touching and weighing to judge whether to water or not.

Touch: sometimes it looks dry on the surface, but it's still very damp underneath. So insert your fingers into the matrix, feel the moisture of the soil with your fingers, and water it only when it is less than 2 centimeters below.

OK: before and after each watering, you can weigh the weight of the flowerpot and feel the weight. After a few times, you will have a good idea of the weight of the flowerpot, light to a certain extent, it must be almost short of water.

Most of the flowers in this watering routine are general-purpose and reliable.

Third, temperature

The suitable temperature for the growth of geranium is 15-25 ℃. In winter, the indoor temperature should be controlled at about 10 ℃, not lower than 3 ℃. If it is lower than this temperature, it will be very chilling, and some varieties can accept a low temperature of 0 ℃. The maximum temperature should not exceed 35 ℃. Once it is in a hot environment, it will enter a semi-dormant state.

Geraniums like cool and afraid of heat, they don't grow much when the average daily temperature is higher than 28 degrees, and when they are higher than 32 degrees, they enter a dangerous period (big flower and angels are relatively heat-resistant).

If the temperature is too high, the new buds of the geranium will be green, and the new buds that lack chlorophyll will "whiten". When you see the white buds, it is clear that the geraniums will be too hot to bear tomorrow. Most geraniums die during high temperatures in summer. So the goal of planting in summer is to live!

IV. Lighting and ventilation

Geraniums need to be exposed to sufficient sunlight, but shading measures should be taken when the summer sun is too strong, other seasons can accept sunlight, if not enough light will not blossom, when flowering to avoid direct sunlight, you can move to the indoor appearance, and after the flowers fade, you can put them back to a place with light. Turning the basin as much as possible can make the leaf surface receive light more evenly. To choose a ventilated environment, keep it in a ventilated environment as much as possible, and avoid muggy planting environment.

Everything is wonderful, there is a praise mall in the flower school.

There are flowers and love, a school of flowers
