When potted, the culture soil had better be mixed with 40% garden soil, 15% coarse sand, 30% fertile soil and 15% rotten leaf soil.

2. Give fertilizer

Gardenia is addicted to fertilizer, and it is necessary to apply topdressing frequently during the growing season, using low-concentration fertilizers once a month, such as organic nutrient solution commonly used for flowers, or watering 0.2% ferrous sulfate or alum fertilizer every 10 to 15 days, which can prevent the soil from becoming alkaline and supply iron to the soil to prevent the leaves of the plant from yellowing. It is necessary to apply 1-2 balanced organic nutrient solution of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium before flowering, which can promote the growth of flowers.

3. Watering

Gardenia likes damp, usually need to keep the soil moist, and pay attention to improve the relative humidity of the air, watering is suitable to use Rain Water or fermented rice water.

In addition to watering in summer, it is necessary to spray water on the leaf surface every morning and evening, respectively, to improve the relative humidity of the air and make the leaf surface bright.
