Spring and summer is the growing season for most plants, but don't think that indoor plants need more water in summer. Many people keep plants in air-conditioned rooms, and the temperature is always relatively low. Plants have little need for water.

However, plants raised in air-conditioned rooms can occasionally spray water, increase air humidity, avoid excessive dryness, and check the dry and wet condition of basin soil regularly. I check once every 3-4 days. If the leaves are wrinkled or curled, you must replenish water in time. Pot soil is dry and thoroughly watered, you can easily master the watering skills of indoor plants.

Indoor plants usually wait for the basin soil to dry and thoroughly, so as to avoid fungal diseases. More water is easy to rot the roots, but less water will not die immediately. At the beginning, I always test the dry and wet condition of the soil directly with my fingers. If the soil below the basin soil is dry, I will water the basin soil once.

Some plants that are particularly drought-resistant or like to be moist can also be raised in this way. as long as the indoor maintenance plants are dry and thoroughly irrigated, they are basically undead plants and flowers.

Check the dry and wet soil regularly, develop good flower-growing habits, basically will not raise dead plants, be sure to check whether the soil is dry before watering.

Another key to indoor maintenance of potted plants is the location, avoid keeping them next to air conditioning outlets or heating, try not to put plants next to large electrical appliances, and do not put potted plants in places that are often completely dark, at least have bright lights every day to avoid excessive darkness.

Some plants that can bloom can be placed in a position with appropriate scattered light, while plants that like light can be placed on the south-facing windowsill or balcony, such as the common triangular plum, tiger prunes and sunflowers.

Indoor maintenance of foliage plants, try to avoid direct sunlight, especially those plants that have been raised in a long-term environment without light, the hot summer sun will scorch the leaves.

Indoor maintenance of potted plants should also pay attention to regularly clean the leaves, do not let the leaves contaminated with too much dust, otherwise it will affect photosynthesis, the leaves are easy to yellowing, after cleaning the leaves should be placed in a ventilated place to avoid stagnant water in the leaves infected with fungal diseases, otherwise easy to rot.

In a hot summer, even putting indoor potted plants in a sunny place for a few minutes will burn the plants, the leaves are easy to show some small spots, sunburned plants will appear scars, there is no way to restore health.

The plants maintained on the windowsill should not be affixed directly to the glass. The glass window will enlarge the heat, and the leaves will burn easily if they stick directly to the window. It is the same in winter. If you stick directly to the window, you can easily get frostbite.

Indoor potted plants should be watered more frequently if they are in a room without air conditioning. Plants that like water can keep the soil moist, maintain good ventilation, avoid being kept in a sultry or airtight space, and help to promote plant growth.

Plants maintained in air-conditioned rooms should be watered less. They consume water slowly in air-conditioned rooms with lower temperatures, so avoid too much water.
