Question 3: do you need fertilizer to grow balls?

Answer: yes, because they need to consume a lot of nutrition of the bulb itself when they bloom, but it is best not to apply fertilizer in the early stage of planting to prevent burning seedlings, and to apply liquid fertilizer about 10 days after growing leaves, if not, the flowering quality will be much worse, and the size of the bulb will be greatly reduced after flowering, especially for those bulbs that want to have a good flowering effect in the second year. Fertilization is very important for ball cultivation.

Answer: before planting, add the right amount of base fertilizer to the cultivated soil. You can start using all kinds of available fertilizers after planting for a month, once every 10 days or so. Fertilize normally even after flowering, until naturally withered in May or June.

Answer: hyacinths and tulips are indeed more likely to grow mildew spots. If there is only one layer on the surface, it has almost no effect on planting balls and can blossom normally.

Answer: regardless of whether there are mildew spots on the surface of the seed ball received, it is best to disinfect the seed ball before planting (if there are a small amount of mildew spots, you can gently wipe it off with a paper towel). You can use carbendazim or methyl thiophanate solution for soaking treatment, according to the reference concentration on the package, soak for about half an hour, pick it up to dry and then plant.
