1. Improper watering. Excessive dampness in the basin or stagnant water in the basin for several days in the rainy season causes turbid dampness and perishability of the roots, resulting in the scorched tip of the old seedling. Prevention and control methods: timely and appropriate watering, cover the rain in the rainy season and strengthen ventilation.

2. Inappropriate watering time. When the water temperature is watered at noon in summer, the difference between the water temperature and the basin soil temperature is too large, which hinders the normal physiological activity of the root system, weakens the water absorption of the root system, produces physiological drought, and makes the orchid leaf coke tip. Prevention and control methods: watering should be carried out in summer when the water temperature is similar to that of basin soil in the morning and evening.

3. High temperature in summer, poor ventilation, overheating of basin soil, and coke tip caused by heat of Langen. Prevention and treatment: spray water to the surrounding environment, enhance ventilation and shade density to cool down.

4. In early summer and autumn, the wind is strong and dry, the water evaporation is large, and the air is too dry, which causes the new seedlings to be scorched. 6. Prevention and control methods: fully mature materials are used when preparing basin soil.

7. When turning the basin, the withered root is not pruned and the plant material is not clean, which affects the growth and development of the new root and causes the new leaf coke tip. Prevention and treatment: thoroughly remove the diseased and rotten roots, and add 50% carbendazim disinfection when preparing basin soil.

8. Fertilization is not balanced. Potash fertilizer is an indispensable nutrient element for the growth and development of orchids, which is usually distributed in the buds, tender leaves, root tips and so on. When the plant is seriously deficient in potassium, the plant becomes shorter and the leaves are prone to scorch. Prevention and control methods: add appropriate amount of plant ash leaching solution or potassium dihydrogen phosphate when fertilizing.
