Please do not continue to use full granules to raise meat.

As we all know, granular soil has good air permeability, good drainage and good infiltration ability, which is very suitable for succulent plants.

It seems that if a whole word is added in front of the granular soil and becomes the whole granular soil, the whole vocabulary becomes more positive? This is why many flower lovers are fascinated by the whole granular soil and use a lot of it to raise meat.

However, the results of raising meat in whole-grain soil are often not satisfactory. Judging from the feedback from a large number of flower friends, the use of full-grain soil to raise meat often leads to the following three problems:

1. It is difficult to take meat for a long time.

2. there are few capillaries, and the water absorption capacity and speed are weak.

3. The root system is difficult to grow, and some of the roots are even deformed.

Before we elaborate on the above three questions, we must first define exactly what is fully granular soil.

The whole grain here refers to the situation in which all the plants in the soil are hard particles. Which plant materials belong to hard granular plants, that is, those "stones" that do not have any elasticity when pinched and will not be crushed even if they are squeezed hard. For example, Maifan stone, sand, volcanic rock, green zeolite, light stone, perlite. Also includes a variety of artificial or semi-artificial fired products, such as ceramsite, cinder and a variety of artificial soil are considered hard particles.

Plants such as red jade soil, deer marsh soil and fairy soil are essentially soil, but they form particles under natural conditions, which are not pure hard particles. The hardness of fired hardened red jade soil is also good, but there will still be pulverization phenomenon forever, so we can not consider hard particles first.

The biggest crime of full-grained soil is beauty. In itself, we are willing to raise meat in order to pursue beautiful things. The beautiful full-grained soil looks like a gem, brightly colored, and has an elegant experience that does not touch the mud with ten fingers, which is a great feeling.

However, beauty is not the criterion for plant roots to evaluate soil. From the plant point of view, there are three very serious problems in full-grained soil.

1. It is difficult to take meat for a long time.

Flower friends who use full-grained soil often pursue water-controlled type in their hearts, while the topsoil of full-grained soil dries too fast, and during the basin period, meat with shallow roots is often difficult to take because of insufficient humidity in the topsoil.

When the new root of meat comes out, it is basically near the soil surface, but the whole granular soil surface is basically dry, and if the new root system is not nourished by water, it is easy to wither. This has led to the problem that the new kind of meat has not been convinced for a long time.

Even if it is not the whole grain soil, the meat with shallow roots should pay attention to rehydration many times during the basin period, not to mention the whole grain soil which dries faster.

2. there are few capillaries, and the water absorption capacity and speed are weak.

Root water absorption depends on the surface area of the root system in contact with the soil. In order to absorb water quickly, the root system will grow a lot of capillaries, and the more capillaries, the greater the area of contact with the soil. When water absorption is needed, the root water absorption capacity of meat can burst out.

When the leaves of meat are soft and short of water, if you water them, the more developed the root system is, the faster the hardness of the leaves will be restored.

However, there is a problem with pure granular soil, that is, there are actually many voids in pure granular soil. The larger the particle size, the larger the voids. As a result, a large number of roots of meat do not actually fit with the soil particles.

To take a vivid example, for the root system of meat, pure granular soil is like a pile of big stones. The root system of meat is pinned down by these big stones. There are not many places that really come into contact with these big rocks.

Even if the meat grows a lot of well-developed roots in the pure granular soil, the total area of contact with the soil is not large. As a result, the recovery speed of blade hardness after watering is greatly reduced.

3. The root system is difficult to grow, and some of the roots are even deformed.

We also use stones as metaphors. Flowerpots filled with pure granular soil are actually full of stones. When the root system is growing, it must shuttle through the cracks in the stone. Because the stone has a high hardness, the root system caught by the stone will be subject to higher soil pressure, while the root system through the gap will be almost free from soil pressure.

In this way, the root system of meat will appear abnormal bending, uneven thickness and even abnormal phenomenon.

I took some pictures, which should help you understand the condition of plant roots in the soil.

The soil used in the above basin is mainly red jade soil, deer marsh soil and green zeolite, which is not pure granular soil. However, as can be seen in the photo, the horizontal and vertical small black square has been seriously deformed. This shows that the root system is under a lot of squeezing pressure in the process of root growth.

If the flowerpot can not be deformed, and the soil particles do not have any elasticity, it is conceivable that the root system of meat will not have enough room to grow.

In the picture above, the soil used to plant this jade dew is relatively hard, causing the roots of the jade dew to drill back and forth in the cracks in the particles, resulting in abnormal bending, leading to very abnormal growth.

On the other hand, the root system of Yulu, which grows in soft soil, grows symmetrical and beautiful radish roots.

Although the fleshy root of twelve rolls of meat is a special case, it can directly reflect the importance of soil elasticity from one aspect. Crassulaceae plants do not need to be planted with pure soft soil, but in the face of hard full grains, they will still produce the same problems faced by Yulu above.

Finally, let's talk about how to save the whole granular soil. Very simply, adding elastic plants such as peat, coconut bran, vermiculite and smoked carbon to the whole particles can improve the properties of the soil, make the soil more water-retaining, and make the roots grow healthier.

When adding, you can add it and stir it at the same time. Grab the evenly stirred soil and pinch it with your hands at any time. If you feel that the soil is slightly elastic, that's about it.

I suggest that everyone should grasp and pinch the soil with their hands when dispensing the soil, and feel the elasticity of the soil. The elasticity of the soil is too large, indicating that there may be too many plants such as peat, which will slow down the recovery rate of air permeability of the soil after watering. Air permeability becomes worse. If the soil is inelastic and feels like grabbing a stone, then the soil will have a full-grain similar problem.

These are the contents shared today, hoping to help you better prepare soil for meat and meat.
