Ramet propagation: select a suitable Anthurium andraeanum lateral bud, disinfect it, put it in a cool place so that it can quickly recover and take root, wait until it takes root, it can be planted in a pot. Sow and reproduce: first collect the seed, sow it in the sand, keep the soil moist, and plant it in a pot when it grows 5 or 6 leaves.

1. Ramet propagation

It has a strong ability to grow tillers, so ramets are very suitable for its reproduction.

First of all, we have to determine the ramet time, generally in a cooler environment will be better, usually choose spring or autumn, generally do not choose to do this in summer or winter.

Secondly, we should select the appropriate lateral buds and pay attention not to hurt its mother plant when dividing the lateral buds. Lateral buds should be selected in accordance with these principles: one is not too big, the second is too weak, the third is not too close to the mother plant, and the fourth is that the selected lateral buds had better have 2 or more roots. We can cut off the ramet directly by hand or with a razor blade, and disinfect it after removing it.

Put the sterilized ramet in a cool place so that it can quickly recover and take root, and after it takes root, it can be planted in a pot. When planting, you should pay attention to flatten its roots, straighten the ramet, and give proper support. Note that you can't water the leaves immediately after planting, but you can sprinkle water on the leaves properly. After 2 days, you can properly pour some water or some thin liquid fertilizer.

2. Sowing and reproduction

Its seeds can be sown whenever they are picked. First of all, we have to collect seeds, because its seeds are wrapped in the fruit, so we can deal with the fruit and take out the seeds, of course, we can also buy the processed seeds directly.

After collecting the seed, we can sow it in clean sand. It is best to sow it at a depth of about 0.5 to 0.8 centimeters, so that the soil is moist enough that it will sprout in about two weeks and leaflets will grow soon. When it has 5 or 6 leaves, you can plant it in a pot. note that we have to prepare the soil in advance and mix it according to the ratio of peat soil: perlite = 2:1. After planting, put it in the shade for about 7 days and you can raise it normally.
