Watering potted flowers is a regular management work in the process of flower cultivation, which is not only common but also very important, which should attract the attention of flower growers. Flowers are watered to death, do a good job of these 6 o'clock, potted roots, strong leaves and green rub crazy growth!

1. Water quality

According to the condition of salt, water is divided into hard water and soft water, and soft water is suitable for watering flowers. Rain Water (or snow water) is the most ideal in natural water, because Rain Water is a kind of near neutral water, which does not contain minerals and contains more air, so it is most suitable for flower growth. Secondly, it is better to use river water or pond water. If tap water is used, it should be stored for 1-2 days, and the chlorine in the water should be lost before use. Be careful not to use laundry water containing soap or washing powder and dishwashing water containing oil to water flowers.

2. Water temperature

Watering flowers with well water or tap water should be stored for 1-2 days in summer, which can increase water temperature and reduce the temperature difference between water temperature and basin soil. If cold water is poured directly under the scorching sun, the soil temperature suddenly decreases, which stimulates the root hair, which will hinder the normal absorption of water, lead to "physiological drought", cause leaf scorch, and in serious cases will lead to plant death.

3. Watering according to the season

Spring and autumn at 10-11:00 or 3: 4 p.m., summer should take advantage of the low temperature in the morning or evening, and watering in winter within 1-2 p.m., it is better to choose a day with sun. The amount of water should be consistent from the basin surface to the basin bottom. The principle of proximity between water temperature and soil temperature should be mastered, which is slightly higher in winter and lower in summer, but the temperature difference between water and soil should not exceed 5. If the water temperature is too low, it is easy to inhibit the normal growth of the root, especially when the flower growth is exuberant, which will make the physiological disorder of flowers, stop the growth, and cause fallen leaves, flowers and fruits.

4. Watering according to climate

Water more in high temperature or windy days; less water in low temperature or cloudy days; little or no watering in cloudy and rainy days; cover potted flowers when Rain Water is too much; pour basin to drain water when stagnant water. The leaves and leaves of some flowers need to be dried, and the watering time should be placed when there is light or high temperature, which can make the water stick to the leaves evaporate quickly, but most flowers have no special requirements.

5. Watering according to flower habits and growth

Some flowers that are afraid of heat (such as cyclamen, hanging golden bell, etc.) and flowers that like shade and dampness (such as rhododendron, orchid, camellia, etc.) need to often spray water on the leaf surface and the environment around the plant, so that the air also maintains a considerable humidity, which is very beneficial to its growth and development. Tropical orchids, Araceae, pineapple flowers and ferns also need to spray water frequently. Some flowers are very sensitive to water humidity, such as paulownia, lotus flower, etc., their leaf surface has thicker villi, which is not easy to evaporate after falling on water, which is easy to cause leaf rot. In short, wet flowers can be watered more; drought-tolerant flowers should be watered less; flowers with large and soft leaves should be watered more; flowers with small waxy leaves should be watered less; herbaceous flowers should be watered more and woody flowers should be watered less.

Seedlings and delicate flowers, as well as newly potted cuttings that have not yet taken root, should be sprayed with more water. More watering in peak growth period; less watering in dormancy and slow growth period; more watering in bud pregnancy; less water in full bloom.

6. Do not water too much

If the potted flowers are watered too much, the water fills the soil gap, and the soil air is replaced by water, resulting in lack of oxygen in the soil, the root tissue will be difficult to breathe due to lack of oxygen, the metabolic function will be reduced, and the absorption of water and fertilizer will be hindered. Flowers will suffocate to death for a long time.
