Grow dragon fruit on the balcony

If you want to plant dragon fruit that can bear fruit on the balcony, you still have to plant it through branch cuttings, and do not consider sowing seeds.

Step 1

Cut the 5-6cm cuttings from the dragon fruit mother plant with a sharp knife, and cut the base of the cuttings obliquely, leaking out the xylem, about 1cm in length.

Soak the cuttings in carbendazim solution for 10 minutes (without carbendazim), then take them out and leave them in a cool and ventilated place for 5 days.

Fig cuttings to choose adult trees, strong disease-free branches, each branch length of about 15-20 cm, retain 2 bud points.

Soak the branches in clean water for 2-3 hours, remove the dirt from the surface, and then soak the lower end of the branches in the rooting agent solution for 5-10 minutes.

Cutting soil can be used either with river sand or with nutritious soil, but it is best to spray potassium permanganate or insolate in the sun and sterilize before use.

Prepare a plastic bottle, cut off the upper part of the plastic bottle, leave only half of it, fill it with river sand or nutritious soil, and water it thoroughly.

Poke several small holes in the surface of the river sand with a stick, gently insert the branches into the small holes, then compact them with soil, put them in a place with astigmatism and ventilation, and wait for the roots to grow.

Grow pineapple on the balcony

Step 1

Buy a few pineapples on the market, choose the big ones, and the leaves are relatively fresh and green.

After rooting, the top flower can be planted directly into the flowerpot! The mixed soil can be prepared with the ratio of rotten leaf soil: garden soil = 2:1.
