Lianas

Vines, such as rattan rose and rose, grow very rapidly in summer. Over-dense twigs are not only unattractive, but also prone to diseases and insect pests. They must be pruned, and those cultivated within two or three years do not need pruning.

Pruning skills

1. Pruning before flowering: in late winter or early spring, cut off the old branches of 1ax 4 and adjust the size and shape of the remaining branches. The lateral branches retain 2-3 bud points, when the new buds grow to 3-4 cm, only 1-2 buds remain, and 4-6 flower buds remain in the whole pot rose, so that the nutrients are concentrated and the rest of the new buds are erased.

2. Pruning at flowering stage: keep the main branches, cut off dead branches, weak branches and diseased branches at any time, and according to the size of the growth space, cut too long side branches (5~8cm) to make the flower branches symmetrical and bright, leaving enough room for growth.

3. Pruning after anthesis: usually from June to July, the ruined flowers are removed at any time; in addition, the sturdy branches are cut off, the twigs can be cut off the length of 2x3, and the branches that are too thin should be cut off.

Woody class

Woody plants generally have two kinds of branches, one is the long branch, used to cultivate the trunk, the summer growth is too long and too dense can be cut short, the other is flowering short branches, small pruning after flowering.

Gardenia

Gardenia grows exuberantly in summer, easy to grow, bloom less, and must be pruned.

Pruning skills

The main results are as follows: 1. In the early stage of growth: cut lightly after budding, mainly to cut off some of the top flower branches, in order to promote the development of lateral branches and increase the number of buds in the later stage.

2. Vigorous growth stage: pruning cluttered and overlapping flower branches, weak branches, parallel branches, crossed branches, etc., and remove overdense terminal buds, generally leaving 2-3 buds on one branch.

3. Flowering stage: after growing buds, 2-3 can be left on each thick branch, 1 on the weak branch, and the rest can be cut off to ensure the concentration of flowering nutrients.

4. after flower fade: cut off the flower branches in time to promote the germination of new buds, and pick the heart when the new buds grow to two or three nodes; at the same time, cut off part of the axillary buds to promote the growth of the main branches.

Jasmine flower

If the jasmine does not pay attention to pruning and grows too densely, it will also lead to thin branches and less flowering.

Pruning skills

1. The withered branches, weak branches and twigs after overwintering should be cut off in time in spring, and the strong thick branches should be cut to about 15cm to sprout new buds.

2. When the spring shoot grows to 4-5 nodes, the heart is removed. For the branches with no buds at the top, two pairs of tender leaves are removed to promote the breeding of buds.

3. All the overgrown branches can be cut off in summer, and leaving them on them will be a waste of nutrition. Cut off the overly long branches to make the spatial layout reasonable.

4. after the flower fades, remove the residual flowers, cut off the residual branches and withered branches between the first and third nodes under the flower, retain nutrients, and blossom in about half a month.

Summer dormancy

Many flowers are easy to dormancy, slow growth and difficult flowering in hot summer, such as crab claw orchid, but if you do a good job of pruning during the maintenance period, you don't have to worry about spending the summer.

Pruning skills

The main results are as follows: 1. After the flower fade, the residual flowers should be removed in time, and the 3-4 stem segments should be cut short, and the sunny day should be selected for pruning.

2. The crab claw orchid cultivated for 3-5 years should be cut to remove the over-dense branches and leaves and aging diseased branches to ensure adequate growth space and ventilation; it should not be pruned in summer, but it should be placed in astigmatism places such as the north windowsill during maintenance, watering as little as possible and not fertilizing, so as to avoid being too stuffy and too wet to spend the summer safely.

Herbs and flowers

As soon as the grass blossoms in summer, the pot will burst, and the speed is very fast, but the flowers will fade very quickly, so a little trick to prolong the flowering period and keep exploding the pot is to cut it by force! Next, Huahua will take Petunia as an example.

Pruning skills

1. Generally pick the heart at the initial stage of growth, when the new branch grows 5 or 6 leaves, remove the top 2 leaves, and the side branch should also pick the heart after growing new leaves.

2. After flowering, when the petunia burst the pot, the flowers will grow smaller and smaller, then do not hesitate to cut off all the flower branches, leaving enough nutrition for the new bud, you can continue to burst the pot a week later.

That's all for today.
