Last Updated: 2024/11/05, As soon as the weather is hot, the fleshy flower friends get nervous. They are going to spend the summer, and the meat is scared before a leaf has fallen off. If you want Hua Hua, in fact, your succulent plant is not only fine, but may also be able to develop an old pile.

Succulent leaves wither, is it good or bad?

When summer comes, the weather is hot, whether dormant or non-dormant succulent, there will be the following situation, the bottom of the old leaves suddenly dehydrate and dry, feeling like "dying"

In fact, this situation is a normal aging phenomenon. With high temperatures and rapid evaporation of water vapor in summer, there are naturally more aged leaves. Although there is no need to worry, we should also pay attention to the following points:

1. the old leaves will be removed after they have completely dried up.

After the leaves are completely withered, the interface of the main rod will heal automatically, and removal will not cause wounds and avoid breeding bacteria or infection.

2. Do not accumulate the old leaves in the basin after removal.

Do not think that leaves can be left in the basin as fertilizer, the summer temperature is high, leaf rot is easy to breed bacteria, attract mosquitoes, and then infect succulent plants.

3. Proper water control

The aging process is also the growth process of the old pile, just remove the old leaves, do not water, see that the basin soil is dry, pour again after a day, make the new pile stable

Some flower friends have succulent plants in their homes, and there are other problems when the leaves are dry. Let's talk about Huahua in detail here.

The leaves are wrinkled

If the leaves at the bottom are aging and the leaves above are wrinkled and stale, they are short of water.

Remove the old leaves and choose the watering time

Take off the old leaves that have been dried into paper, do not pick them if they are not dried, and choose to water them in the morning (before 9 o'clock) or in the evening (after 8 o'clock) to avoid stimulating succulent plants.

The leaves are white and a little wilted

The old leaves below are shriveling, but the upper leaves are lighter in color and tend to be liquefied and transparent. This is because the weather is too hot and the water is more than the meat can bear.

Control water in time and put it in a ventilated place

At this time, don't water any more, put it in a more ventilated place and send out the moisture in the basin in time so as not to rot the roots.

The leaves are transparent and black and fall off as soon as they are touched

This situation is even more serious. if the leaves are transparent and the fingers fall off at the touch of a finger, the water has melted.

1. Lighten water and put it in a ventilated place to control water.

If there are only a few old leaves and the pile is still fine, remove the bad leaves and move the rest to a ventilated and dry position (pay attention to shade)

2. moderate water, dig out and rescue.

If even the main pole begins to melt, quickly dig out the roots, leave the good parts, clean up the rotten ones, and re-root the rest of the cuttings.

High temperature in summer, low success rate of cutting, but still operable, be sure to keep ventilated, do not bask in the sun, keep the potted soil moist, lose the leaves when they are broken, and avoid infecting other leaves.

Or use hydroponic culture to root, rooting powder mixed with water 1VR 2000, put in a suitable container, put succulent plants on the mouth of the bottle, do not touch the water, be sure to put it in a cool place.

3. Aggravate water and black rot and declare death

If the succulent root is rotten and none of the whole leaf is intact, it will be hopeless.

The leaves are withered and accompanied by flowering

Now succulent can be said to be very wayward, not to mention that succulent only blossoms in spring, even in hot days, there are silly "meat" who do not know the season!

If it is spring, the succulent plant is in the growing period, it's okay to blossom, consume a little nutrition at most, and then make up for it with more absorption. OK, I'll let you open it.

But now it's summer, it looks like it's all in a dormant period, and there are those who are not afraid to blossom. Huahua is really drunk.

Cut off the flower head and control the water

Don't hesitate, it's more important to stay alive in the summer, so cut it quickly. After cutting off the foil, first control the water, wait for the basin soil to dry, and then water it after a day.

This is the "extraordinary period" of succulent plants.

Live or die.

It all depends on the master!
