Stem shorter than 5 cm. Naturally few branches, 7-10 cm in diameter, 2-3 cm high, flattened as a whole. Leaves Obovate, apex acuminate to acute, base 3.5-4.5 x 1-1.2 cm, distal width 1.7-2.2 cm; leaf color purplish pink light gray; smooth epidermis. Racemes, single or divided into 2-3 branches; bracts conspicuous, easily deciduous, 10-20 x 4-9 mm. Sepals erect, ovate-lanceolate, 4-6 x 1.5-2.5 mm, Corolla urn-shaped, subconical, angular, 7-9 mm long, 11-13 x 6-7 mm near base in diam., orange, apex often yellowish.

The leaves are rosette, narrow, oblong to oblanceolate, acute, 5-10 cm long, 1.5-2.5 cm wide, deeply concave, margin such as cartilage, green to reddish brown, covered with a small amount of frost powder. Racemes, 30-50 cm long. Bracts fall off easily. Pedicel 4-10 mm long. Sepals sharply open to recurved, no longer than 5 mm. Corolla conical to urn-shaped, 9-15 mm long, bright red or orange.
