Rose, known as the queen of flowers, also known as Moon Red, Catharanthus roseus, Shengchun, Skinny, Dou Xuehong and so on, is a plant of the genus Rosaceae. According to the definition of American Rose Association in 1966, the variety group after the first hybrid tea fragrant rose (la France) appeared in 1867 was called modern rose, while the varieties before 1867 were collectively referred to as ancient rose. Nowadays, most of the applications used in the production of gardens and cut flowers are modern rose. The Science and Technology Group of China Rose Association rectifies the name of "rose", that is, "rose" generally refers to modern rose.

The rose likes warmth, loves the sun, avoids the heat, and has high requirements for light. Only in places with good light conditions can they grow strong. The soil should be loose and fertile, rich in organic matter, good drainage and slightly acidic. The optimum temperature is 10-25 ℃, so it is the most suitable for growth in June, July and October, and the flowers are large and colorful. The winter temperature is lower than 5 ℃ and goes into dormancy; when the summer temperature is more than 30 ℃, it enters semi-dormancy and the plant growth is poor, although it can also conceive buds, but the flower petals are few, the color is dim and dull, and the ornamental value is lost.

Because the potted rose grows in the basin and the volume in the basin is limited, the nutrients in the pot soil are difficult to meet the needs of plant growth. In order to overcome the congenital defects of potted plants and realize that small pots and less soil can meet the needs of growth and development of rose, 4 parts of vegetable garden soil, 3 parts of humus soil, 2 parts of rice chaff ash and 1 part of river sand should be mixed into nutritious soil, which should be spread out for 2-3 days to kill germs, and then sprinkle water to moist when in use.

The current cultivation process of rose bonsai requires regular fertilization, too much or too little fertilization will adversely affect the growth of rose, the amount of fertilization is not easy to control, and there are too many artificial traces, and the cultivation process of replacing dry with roots is not easy to control and coordinate. nutrition supply is not easy to concentrate, and it is difficult to cultivate bonsai with different styles.
