Cultivation techniques:

It is suitable for warm, dry and sunny environment, not cold-resistant, avoid water dampness, drought and semi-shade, strong light exposure and too much shade are disadvantageous to plant growth. If there is not enough light in cultivation, it will cause long stems and leaves, loose plant shape, dim leaf color, disappearance of white powder, decrease of spot color, lack of vitality of plants, and serious impact on ornamental. And the bright light in summer will cause the leaf tip to wither. Therefore, except for proper shading during high temperature in summer, sufficient light should be given in other seasons, so that the leaves of the cultured plants are thick, white powder is obvious, purple-brown spots are clear and obvious, and they are very beautiful.

Due to slow plant growth at high temperature in summer, ventilation should be strengthened to avoid yellowing and decay of basal stems and leaves due to excessive soil moisture. Keep it in a sunny place indoors in winter, not less than 12 ℃ at night and more than 18 ℃ during the day, it can be watered normally to make the plant continue to grow; if it can not maintain such a high temperature, controlled watering, make the plant dormant, can also withstand the low temperature of 5 ℃. Spring and autumn are the peak periods for plant growth, keep the soil moist without stagnant water, and apply mature rarefied liquid fertilizer or inorganic compound fertilizer once a month.

Change the pot every spring and prune the plant to keep the plant shape perfect. The basin soil should be loose and fertile sandy soil with good drainage and water retention. Two parts of rotten leaf soil, one part of garden soil, two parts of coarse sand or vermiculite, plus a small amount of rotten bone powder can be mixed and used. Because of the developed root system of this species, it can be planted in a larger flowerpot. The newly planted plants are maintained in a place with bright light and no direct sunlight. There is no need to pour too much water, and normal maintenance will be carried out after the growth is restored.
