White silk disease is a symptom caused by a bacterial infection that invades from roots, stems, leaves and buds, with the appearance of white silk and particles the size of rapeseed. The infected orchids first soft rot from the roots to yellow pus, and finally cause the roots, stems and leaves to rot together.

White silk disease is the most susceptible to infection in the rainy season, because its infection requires two conditions, high temperature and high humidity, and the rainy season is undoubtedly the most suitable for these two conditions. At present, there is no most effective way to deal with white silk disease, which is based on prevention. In the rainy season, pay attention to ventilation, dehumidification, avoid sun exposure after rain, often spray fungicides, drugs should not be single, generally use a mixture of methyl topiramate and carbendazim.

The orchid strains that have been infected with white silk disease should be isolated as soon as possible, away from the existing orchid strains, so as not to infect the bacteria. The deeply infected orchid plants should be painfully abandoned, even the pot with soil should be treated together, and the place where the orchid pot is placed should also be disinfected.

Wild orchids are not easy to get sick, but once they are artificially planted, they also accelerate the formation and invasion of bacteria because of a variety of man-made factors. So at ordinary times, we should take more management and take precautions against trouble. when we find that the situation is out of control, we should learn to put up with pain and deal with it in time.
