─ Multi-ecosystem of Agricultural products Transportation and Marketing from Origin to Market
Introduction to the event:
Agriculture in Taiwan is a producer structure dominated by small farmers. Farmers grow a small amount of fresh fruits and vegetables on less than a piece of land, and how to deliver fresh fruits and vegetables to the market from Tanzhong all over Taiwan, and determine prices according to quality, supply and demand, so that all kinds of consumers, from self-cooking families to the catering industry, can obtain sufficient ingredients at reasonable prices. At the same time, it has always been a great challenge to enable hard-working farmers to get what they deserve and to reduce the waste of agricultural products as much as possible. The phenomenon of "vegetable money" formed every year because the weather affects production and the sharp fluctuation of vegetable prices is often attributed to the deliberate manipulation of vegetable prices, but what is the real scene of agricultural transportation and marketing? How does the structure of agricultural transportation and marketing affect the planting behavior of the producing area? Can the price really be manipulated? These questions led the speaker of this discussion, Hsu Boren, deputy director of the planning department of the Taipei Agricultural products Transportation and Marketing Company, and Wu Tingyi, director of the audit office of the Taipei Agricultural products Transportation and Marketing Company, who was born as a senior auctioneer, to uncover Taiwan's rich multi-ecosystem of agricultural products transportation and marketing.
