Nowadays, more and more friends like to raise some potted plants at home, such as ivy, green pineapple, orchid, etc., which can not only add a little green, but also play the effect of purifying the air, killing more than one stone. Of course, potted plants alone are obviously unable to meet people's needs, so a variety of fruits and vegetables have joined the ranks of potted plants, even ginseng. As a traditional tonic, ginseng is known as the king of grass and is favored by consumers. So, how to plant ginseng? The following is to introduce some key points of ginseng potted plants, together to understand it!

[pot method 1]

It is better to choose 2-3-year-old ginseng seedlings in potted ginseng. When planting in the pot, the ginseng seedlings with intact Reed head, hypertrophic spores, complete roots, large pulp foot, good shape, no root injury and no diseases and insect pests were selected and planted according to size. When planted in spring, the dormancy period of local ginseng is about to end or a period of time in advance, and when planted in autumn, ginseng enters the dormancy period; potted ginseng not only needs a special growth environment, but also needs special nutrient soil. The soil of potted ginseng should be hillside soil with more humus, especially the slightly acidic black soil with more humus under broad-leaved forest. Straw rot from the yard side for many years can be used in places where there is no hillside soil. After sieving the pericarp soil or straw rot, add a small amount of fried perilla seed, fermented cake fertilizer and chicken manure as base fertilizer, but also add a small amount of river sand; before planting ginseng, the flowerpot is properly selected according to the size of ginseng seedling, the pot is rough and refined and the shape is unlimited. The depth of the basin is generally greater than the height of ginseng seedlings. When the depth of the basin is insufficient, the tiny roots of ginseng seedlings can be slightly bent for planting. The diameter of the basin can be smaller, and the height must be deeper, which is beneficial to keep the ginseng roots stretched perfectly without losing economic value. When planting ginseng seedlings into the pot, first put 2-4cm thick ginseng soil in the basin, and then put the ginseng seedlings in the middle of the basin, one hand to support the seedlings, the other to fill the soil, the roots should be extended, and all the ginseng seedlings should be buried strictly with the soil. Cover the upper part of ginseng Reed head with 1.5-2.5cm. The ginseng soil should be below the 1cm of the basin mouth surface to prevent spillage during watering.

The freshly planted potted ginseng can be placed in the greenhouse or in the room or under the tree. The seedlings emerged 20-30 days after planting, the leaves spread out more than 10 days later, and flowered 20-40 days after emergence (in the greenhouse in winter). Usually requires a temperature of 10-25 ℃; ginseng is a plant that likes shade, cool, moist, moderate moisture and scatters sunlight. Potted ginseng with stems and leaves must not be exposed to strong light, let alone in the open air without shade. Ginseng grows vigorously under the condition of low light, and when the light is too weak, the plant is easy to grow, the stem is thin and long, the color is not correct, the photosynthesis is weakened, and the root nutrition accumulation is less. Under the condition of strong light, carbon assimilation is slow, the color of dwarf leaves is yellow, leaf tissue is destroyed, photosynthesis is reduced, growth and development is affected, and sunburn disease is caused in serious cases. Practice has proved that from seedling emergence to leaf expansion, the weak direct morning light is beneficial to growth, while after leaf expansion, except for direct light in the morning and evening, the direct light in the rest of the time hinders the growth of ginseng; potted ginseng has strict requirements for water during the growth period, the leaves are yellow due to lack of water, affect photosynthesis, rough root surface tissue, and lack of serous air. When there is too much water, the soil is easy to lack oxygen, plant growth is slow and easy to get sick, and red spots will appear in the roots, which will reduce the economic value. Under the condition of high humidity, high temperature and poor ventilation, the plant is prone to blight. Potted ginseng will rot after soaking in water for a few days. Usually watering can be poured around the basin to make the water gradually infiltrate to the center, as long as it is not too dry, there is generally no need to pour large water, but the temperature varies greatly around the place, so the watering times can be increased appropriately; because the basin ginseng is watered many times, most of the surface layer of the basin will form a slab layer, and it is not easy to permeate when watering, and the topsoil can be loosened with hands or sticks to facilitate air permeability and water seepage. In order to make the ginseng grow normally, you can often apply some fermented soybeans or soybean cake fertilizer and water.

[pot method 2]

First of all, there must be robust ginseng seedlings and seeds, only good ginseng seedlings and seeds will have good ginseng potted plants, good ginseng seedlings to its bud intact, the survival rate can be higher! And the seeds must sprout and explode, and only the seeds can be planted. Ginseng seedlings and seeds can only be cultivated in spring and autumn (except summer seeds), not in four seasons, and it is difficult to succeed in out-of-season cultivation. In the process of potted ginseng, you can first spread 1/3 of the soil in the flowerpot, then insert the ginseng seedling, then spread the soil, water it thoroughly, and then quietly wait for it to sprout. Ginseng should be planted in the soil 4-5cm deep places, generally using vertical cultivation, the soil is not too sticky, good drainage is appropriate; ginseng unearthed before the moisture should not be too large, otherwise easy to rot seedlings; ginseng emergence, can carry out photosynthesis before normal watering; watering do not water the leaves, leaves wet easy to get leaf spot disease; at the same time, in the pot ginseng maintenance process, should also avoid direct light. For a robust ginseng seedling, the stem should be upright, the green leaves should be fully unfolded, and the ginseng seeds should be red after maturity.
