As an old driver who grows flowers, I am good at controlling water. But still rotten, rotten, rotten.

This year, I heard of a very different approach, which is said to solve the problem of Rigg's rotten roots.

1.

Experimental method.

In order to do this experiment, I specially bought two Rieger Begonia in full bloom. The same store, the same batch of goods, are all three pots, growing well.

Those with yellow flowers are kept in the pot (keep water in the tray), and those with safflower are cultivated without drying or watering.

They are all maintained in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows facing south of my office (about 20, 000 Lux at noon). The temperature is about 10-20 degrees day and night. The air humidity is about 38%. The original basin matrix is mainly pine needle soil. No fertilizer. These incomprehensions do not affect the reading below)

Experimental comparison

-

In half a month, the contrast is obvious. The tree that soaked the pot obviously grew better than the pot that didn't dry or water.

After another half a month, the tree that did not soak in the basin was already black and rotten. The one that soaked in the basin opened well and the leaves grew well.

There is still one tree left that is not rotten. I used another small basin to basin it, and I also watered it by soaking it all the time.

Half a year later, the tree that had been soaking the pot grew better, and the small one that returned to the pot grew up and blossomed because it was watered by the method of soaking the pot all the time.

Analysis: soaking the basin all the time not only ensures the humidity of the basin soil. The evaporation of water in the basin also increases the humidity of the air around the plants. Rigg is usually produced in greenhouses, where the humidity is about 60-70%, and less than 40% at home. The lack of humidity is probably the real cause of Rigg's easy death.

In addition, Rigg's suitable temperature is 15-25 degrees, the temperature exceeds 28 degrees to enter dormancy, dormancy water demand is very low, may not be suitable for the basin all the time.

Tips:

1. Don't water from the basin.

two。 Using the soaking method, keep water in the basin all the time.

3. Rieger Begonia is afraid of high temperature in summer. This method needs to be verified.
