Last Updated: 2024/11/06, To cultivate Ping an tree, a slightly acidic soil with loose and good drainage should be used to give it a growth environment of 20-30 ℃. Wait for the soil to dry before watering, and apply compound fertilizer once a month during the peak growth period. Propagation can be done by cutting or sowing. In addition, it is also necessary to control common insect pests.

I. Culture environment

1. Soil: weak acid soil with loose and good drainage should be used, and do not use heavy alkaline soil, otherwise it will cause poor growth.

2. Watering: generally wait for the soil to dry before watering, but the amount of water should be increased appropriately when the weather is dry. In summer or dry season, you can put it indoors and spray water indoors to increase the humidity in the air. Stagnant water must not appear in the basin, otherwise it will easily lead to the occurrence of root rot.

3. Fertilization: compound fertilizer is applied once a month during the peak growth period, and appropriate amount of phosphate and potash fertilizer is applied 1-2 times in autumn. However, be careful not to apply too much, otherwise the roots will be burned and the leaves will turn yellow and fall off. There is no need to apply fertilizer in winter when it is cold.

4. Temperature: the temperature suitable for the growth of Ping an tree is 20-30 ℃. It is not cold-resistant, and the lowest temperature can not be lower than 0 ℃. Once the temperature is too low, the leaves will wither and even be frostbitten. The temperature in winter should be controlled above 10 ℃.

II. Methods of reproduction

1. Cutting propagation: the suitable temperature for cutting is 22-28 ℃, cut the robust branches into 10-15 cm, leave 2-3 leaves in each section, insert the branches into the soil 3-5 cm, then pour water thoroughly, cover them with film and put them in a cool place.

2. Sowing and reproduction: put the selected seeds in a cool environment, wait for the seeds to crack the white hole, and then sow them. Generally choose the method of sowing on demand in the ditch. After sowing, cover with a layer of mud to keep it moist, and it will sprout in about a month.

III. Common insect pests

1. Aphids: it will cause pests to young leaves, which will not only affect its normal growth, but also affect ornamental. After the emergence of aphids, you can sprinkle some plant ash, and then clean and spray chemicals, which can effectively restrain the spread of insect pests.

2. Scale insects: generally appear on both sides of the leaves, which will make the leaves yellow or even fall off. Spray them with chemicals in time after they are found. In serious cases, control other indoor plants and clean up the diseased leaves.
