Last Updated: 2024/11/05, To raise cyclamen, you need to use loose, fertile soil, fertilize every 10-15 days, and keep the soil slightly moist during the growth period. Give it a growth environment of 10-22 ℃ in winter, it can be propagated by sowing and cutting stems, and pay attention to the prevention and control of common diseases and insect pests.

I. Culture environment

1. Soil: loose and fertile soil is suitable for cyclamen growth, and the cultivated soil should be disinfected when planting.

2. Fertilization: generally, it can be applied once every 10-15 days, appropriate amount of base fertilizer can be applied when turning the basin and changing soil, fertilization must be applied frequently with thin fertilizer, and fertilization should be stopped when the temperature is high in summer.

3. Watering: keep the soil slightly moist during the growth period, and there can be no stagnant water in the basin. If it does not continue to grow in summer, it can be watered normally.

4. Temperature: the suitable temperature of cyclamen in winter is 10-22 ℃, and the temperature difference between day and night should not exceed 10 ℃. It can blossom normally when the temperature is 8 ℃ at night, but the florescence will be shortened. If it is lower than 6 ℃, it will not blossom normally.

II. Methods of reproduction

1. Sow and reproduce: first disinfect the seed, then soak it in warm water for 24 hours, the distance between the seeds is 1-2 cm when sowing, put it in a dark environment after watering, the temperature is best controlled at 18 ℃, wrap it with film, and it will germinate in about 20 days.

2. Stem-cutting propagation: the bulb should be directly more than 3 cm and have more than two bud eyes before it can be divided, the cutting tool should be disinfected and cut straight to the root, and the cut should be coated with plant ash. After drying, it can be planted.

III. Common diseases and insect pests

1. Common insect pests, such as aphids, red spiders and leaf rollers, can be controlled with carbofuran.

2. Common diseases, such as leaf spot, soft rot, etc., can be treated with topiramate aqueous solution.
