This is the 880th day of the Blue Devil's daily original article.

Rose culture series article 78

Many of our flower friends in the process of breeding rose, always make some small mistakes, but sometimes a small mistake may kill your rose life!

The day before yesterday, a flower friend asked the blue demon such a question:

Only a few days after buying it, there were serious yellow leaves, and the blue demon's first reaction after seeing the picture was fat damage!

So he asked about the maintenance process, and it turned out that the flower friend had added compound fertilizer as the base fertilizer when changing pots for the rose.

Maybe some of our novice flower friends don't quite understand why it is harmful if we add compound fertilizer as base fertilizer. Didn't you say that the rose needs to add base fertilizer to change the basin?

The correct use of rose base fertilizer:

We say that when changing pots, it is best to add base fertilizer, but not all fertilizer can be used as base fertilizer.

The fertilizers that can be used as base fertilizers should be slow and long-lasting fertilizers, such as fermented organic fertilizers, slow-release fertilizers, controlled-release fertilizers, and some inorganic fertilizers that cannot be dissolved in water, such as potash fertilizer, calcium fertilizer and so on.

On the other hand, our flower friend uses water-soluble quick-acting compound fertilizer.

The fertilizer effect of quick-acting fertilizer is released quickly, and the root system of the newly changed rose is damaged to a certain extent. at this time, the use of quick-acting fertilizer will undoubtedly make things worse, and naturally show the phenomenon of fertilizer damage such as yellow leaves, fallen leaves and so on.

The right way to deal with fat damage:

When using quick-acting fertilizer and causing fertilizer damage, if it is shallow-buried fertilizer, you should dig out and replace that part of the soil with shallow-buried fertilizer, and then irrigate the root with a lot of water.

If the fertilizer is dissolved in water to irrigate the root, you should directly irrigate the root with a large amount of water.

What is a lot of water to irrigate roots?

Many flower lovers do not understand the meaning of pouring roots with a large amount of water, resulting in watering four or five times a day and continuing to water the next day, which can easily lead to rotten roots.

The correct understanding of root irrigation with a lot of water should be: watering a lot of water at one time.

In fact, it is the use of a large amount of water to wash the fertilizer in the soil, so that the concentration of fertilizer in the soil is reduced, and then alleviate the fertilizer damage.

Therefore, it should be a large number of watering at a time, if you only need to water half a pot of water at a time, and when fertilizer damage occurs, you should water 5 pots or more water at a time. Is it easy to understand when the blue demon says so?
