Last Updated: 2024/11/06, Raising cloves requires fertile, loose and well-drained soil. Water should be properly watered if the soil is dry, and drainage should be paid attention to in the rainy season. The amount of fertilizer should be appropriate, generally applying rotten compost once a year. Propagation can generally be done by sowing or cutting. In addition, we should also pay attention to the prevention of mosaic disease and leaf spot disease, and spray it with chemicals in time after discovery.

I. Culture environment

1. Soil: cloves do not have high requirements for soil, and fertile, loose and well-drained soil is more conducive to its growth.

2. Watering: check whether the soil is dry before watering. If the soil is dry, water properly. Don't pay too much attention to watering at other times. In addition, in the rainy season, we should pay attention to drainage, if there is stagnant water will affect its growth, the root will lead to decay.

3, fertilization: the amount of fertilizer should be appropriate, as long as it can maintain its normal growth, generally apply rotten compost once a year, fertilization must not be too much, may cause branches to grow, but also affect flowering.

4. Light: it prefers sunlight, and it is best to ensure sufficient sunlight when breeding.

II. Methods of reproduction

1. Sowing and reproduction: sowing in spring is the most suitable. Sow the seeds with blisters for 1-2 days before sowing, then use mixed sand to promote germination, to keep the soil moist, sow a week later, and then cover the soil, it will germinate in about a month.

2. Cuttage propagation: select the stronger branches without insect pests, insert them into the suitable soil, and then control the temperature at 25 ℃. It will take root in about a month, and when the roots become yellowish brown, they can be transplanted.

Third, common diseases

1. Mosaic disease: there will be different degrees of spots on the leaves, and when it is serious, the whole plant will die. It is necessary to ensure that there is no stagnant water in the basin soil, strengthen the drainage of outdoor breeding, and use Bordeaux solution to dilute and spray after the disease.

2, black spot: the leaves will appear irregular black-brown disease spots, but also appear black mildew, the leaves will slowly fall off. It is necessary to clean up the diseased leaves in time so as not to increase the source of infection and cooperate with chemical spraying.
