Bonsai will inevitably encounter some pile materials, all aspects are good, but there is a fatal defect, the trunk is big and small, which is never allowed to occur, is there any way to make up for it?

The answer is yes. One can use sacrificed branches to raise the lower part; the other is to break the dry method. Sacrificing branches is slow, but it is the safest and most natural, but if there are no suitable branches, grafted branches are needed. The drying method works quickly, but it can leave a permanent injury, but this injury can be repaired in other ways.

The practical application of the dry-breaking method is very common, which can realize the rapid thickening of the trunk. However, this method is very violent, but there is no way to work miracles. Let's take a look at a very violent dry treatment process.

This pile is estimated to be the trunk of a high bar. Because there used to be several large branches in the middle section, it was relatively inflated, resulting in a spindle shape as a whole and thin feet.

It is more obvious from this angle. This guy is going to take care of him today.

First, trim the branches and leaves. Because there will be a major operation later, so remove some branches and leaves, which is conducive to postoperative recovery.

Cut about half of it.

Put it on the operating table.

Let's try a chainsaw first.

Yeah, it's okay. It can be cut.

Cut a deep slot.

You can't just make a slot. You need something to plug it and prop it open.

Let's start with one two centimeters. So knock in a two-centimeter wedge from this side.

One on the other side.

Two centimeters is not enough, then another two centimeters

That's enough. I can't hold on any longer. if I hold on, it'll be two trees.

Well, it's bold and unrestrained.

Only by taking a full picture can we see the effect. Has it been corrected? it is no longer top-heavy now.

Put it in the pot and get it done.

This method of drying looks cruel, but it won't do any harm to the tree and will grow normally after a short recovery period. In nature, due to a variety of natural and man-made disasters, tree trunks are damaged, as long as there is no fungal infection, basically can live healthily. Those ancient trees that are hundreds of years old are almost full of scars.
