Larix gmelinii is a special species of pine and cypress, it belongs to the family Pinaceae, but it is deciduous every year, not an evergreen tree species. So it has a unique ornamental, when there are leaves, it is an evergreen pine tree, when the leaves are yellow, it looks like a golden pine, and when the pine needles fall, it can watch the branches as well as deciduous trees.

At first glance, this larch is cultivated in horticulture and its branches are quite luxuriant. The bonsai master bought it from the nursery in February 2007 and planted it in a flowerpot.

There were too many branches, so most of the branches were trimmed off, leaving a prototype.

After a growing season, the branches become very dense again.

So I trimmed it again and did some banding. The cultivation of a bonsai must be operated repeatedly in order to achieve the best ornamental quality of the branches.

In May of the following year, new leaves grow, just like green pines.

But in October, the leaves turn yellow and the painting style changes.

The yellow leaves fall and look like elm trees, white wax and so on.

In the next process of changing the basin, it seems more dynamic to tilt it a little bit.

Just a little adjustment, the effect seems to be much better than the upright.

In the twinkling of an eye, it is the sixth year. After six years of pruning, the bark has become mottled, the secondary branches are stronger, and the antler branches are so beautiful that they have been transformed from a stump into a finished product.
