The following is my personal point of view on triangulated plum cuttage, please advise and discuss, inadequacies please friends to supplement hope to learn better and like cutting friends some help.

1. No matter what kind of substrate cuttings, shoots or semi-lignified shoots that have just stopped growing take root relatively faster than old ones.

2. The effect of naphthylacetic acid on promoting rooting is not obvious.

3. It is better to use rooting agent to treat branches for a short time than to soak for a long time, because the dosage must be quite small for a long time, so it is basically ineffective, but it is easy to kill the branch tissue with a little concentration. (especially friends who plug in water will find that there will be a glue-like coating on the surface of the branches after soaking for a few days.) it doesn't matter how much you disinfect or change pure water every day. Then it is better to soak for a few minutes with a reasonable concentration.

4. immediately after the whitening point of the water cuttings, the cutting time will be greatly shortened by changing to other growth substrates.

5. The large cuttage moisturizing space is better than the small one, which can ensure the constancy and is more conducive to the growth of branches.

6. Recently, it has been found that when cutting branches in water, under the same environmental conditions, one-year-old light bark branches can be cut in water without any treatment (keep the root point at 23 Murray 25 degrees quickly)! But if the perennial rough bark branch is planted in water, it must be sterilized, otherwise it will grow white hair.

7. Water cutting is a very important one: water must be changed every day and do not insert too many branches in a container, because the branches will lack oxygen! The epidermis of branches will slowly rot after lack of oxygen. When changing water, you should pay attention to the temperature difference of the water is not too large, it is best to keep consistent! (I usually measure it roughly with a thermometer.)

8. The water-inserted branches had better choose the parts above 4x5 of the annual branches. You will find that the epidermis of this branch is very smooth and the epidermis of the lower branch has split flowers. And there will be a lot of small black spots in this area! It is the starting point in the future. So it's easy to take root by soaking this part in water!
