Most potted plants can be planted in spring and autumn at a temperature of 15-20 ℃.

Note: the growing period, slow seedling stage and flowering stage of the plant can not be changed!

Steps to change the basin

First, take off the basin:

The first thing to do is to control water before taking off the basin. Do not water within 3-5 days before taking off the basin, it is easy to take off the basin when the soil is semi-dry.

Pay attention to the root system must carry soil, you can properly trim the root system and properly remove the old basin soil, but the soil in the middle of the root system must not move!

2. Root trimming

Cut off the rotten roots and old roots with scissors, and those with withered leaves cut off the dead leaves together.

The knife edge will be coated with carbendazim powder for sterilization.

Third, prepare new basin soil.

1. If the pot-changing plant has been stereotyped, you can change the pot with a flowerpot of the same size. If the pot-changing plant is still growing, it is necessary to change a larger flowerpot.

2. Prepare new soil, which can be prepared by yourself or purchased directly. If you want to use old soil, pay attention to the sun exposure, sterilization and disinfection.

3. Before adding soil, it is best to pad some broken tiles or ceramsite at the bottom of the basin to increase the ventilation of the soil, and add a small amount of base fertilizer, such as sterilized chicken manure, cake fertilizer, etc., to increase soil fertility.

Fourth, put on the new basin

Straighten the plant into a new pot, sprinkle with new soil and gently shake the plant.

After the new soil is replaced, the fixed root water should be watered once, that is, it should be watered thoroughly, and the water can flow out from the bottom of the basin.

Matters needing attention after changing basin

After changing the basin, first put the plant in a cool place to maintain for a period of time. After about a week or so, move it to a bright ventilated place and maintain it normally.

No fertilizer can be applied within 3 months after changing the basin.

Orchids and orchids usually change pots every 2 to 3 years. Plants with fast-growing roots like Cymbidium had better change pots once a year.
