A few days ago, I told you about the spring maintenance of hydrangea, and here I will systematically talk about the maintenance of hydrangea, by the way, what many flower friends are more concerned about, that is, the color blending of hydrangea. How to adjust the color you want? Here, taking the most common endless summer as an example, let's talk about this operation.

1. Light, temperature

Hydrangea belongs to short-day plants and likes warm, moist and semi-shady environment. In spring and autumn, in semi-overcast environment; in hot summer, in a cool and ventilated place; in cold winter, it can be transplanted indoors or outdoors to keep warm. The suitable growth temperature is 18-28 degrees, and not less than 5 degrees in winter.

two。 Soil

Hydrangea likes sandy soil rich in humus and loose and breathable, such as commonly used humus soil and peat soil. Add some river sand and other media to enhance air permeability, pH will determine the color of the design, which will be discussed later.

3. Watering

Because the hydrangea leaves are larger and the daytime transpiration is large, the water must be given enough to keep the soil moist. In the midsummer season, it can be done sooner or later, or spray water on the leaves appropriately to reduce the transpiration rate. Properly control the water in winter, see dry and wet, and keep the soil semi-dry during dormancy. Watering in the four seasons should not be watered much, all flowers and plants are the same, water is easy to rot roots.

4. Fertilizer application

Only when the nutrition is in place can the flowers grow well. During the growth period, cake fertilizer can be applied every half a month, and thin liquid fertilizer can be applied in the middle, and slow-release fertilizer (Aolu, Merlot, magic fertilizer, etc.) can be added to the basin soil in autumn.

5. Color blending

Pulling out your favorite color is probably what everyone is most concerned about, and most florists are looking forward to the blue hydrangea. Alkaline soil blossoms pink flowers, acid soil blossoms blue-purple flowers. Before the formation of flower buds, irrigate the roots with aluminum sulfate fertilizer every 10 days, and properly apply ferrous sulfate or white vinegar water to keep the soil acidic and produce blue-purple flowers; if the cultivated soil is originally alkaline and does not need to change color, it will be pink at that time. if it is acidic, apply alkaline fertilizer, such as plant ash.
