Since ancient times, people have regarded orchids as a symbol of nobility, elegance, patriotism and unswerving chastity. Everyone who loves flowers wants to have a pot. But florists will find that orchids are not so easy to use, and the problem of sprouting is very troublesome. In fact, every kind of flower has some breeding taboos, as long as you master it well, it is not very difficult to raise orchids well.

Generally speaking, orchids begin to sprout at the end of March every year, and the buds that grow from March to June are called spring buds. Secondly, it is possible to sprout again during the period from October to December, when the new buds are called autumn buds.

1. Improper watering: at the beginning of raising orchids, what is more difficult to master is the problem of watering. Many flower lovers have this habit. They want to water the flowers when they see them, and they are easy to give more when they are watered. 80% of the flowers are watered to death like this. For orchids, it is better to water less than more. If the water is less, the plant will only lose its vitality, and it will be good after replenishing it; if it is watered too much, it will directly rot the roots and die.

Now in May, some new buds have not yet been unearthed, so it is better to keep the basin soil dry at this time. Summer is a prosperous period for the growth of new buds, usually about 1-2 days can be watered once, watering should be slowly watered from the edge of the basin, it is best to use Rain Water, if it is tap water, it will sit for 24 hours before watering. In summer, the evening can also be sprayed to lower the temperature, which is conducive to the growth of orchid buds.

2. Fertilizer damage: sufficient fertilizer can promote the growth, growth and flowering of orchids. There are many kinds of horticultural fertilizers in the market. If you choose the wrong fertilizer and fertilize improperly, it is easy to cause the orchid leaves to be dry, sharp, withered and yellow, and in serious cases, it will lead to plant death. It is recommended to choose flower fertilizer to choose a better nutrient solution, organic fertilizer rich in nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, preferably for orchids.

The principle of fertilization is: apply thin fertilizer frequently. From May to June, when the leaf buds of orchids grow to 1-2cm, dilute liquid fertilizer is applied every two weeks to promote the growth of leaf buds. From July to September, it can be applied every 3 weeks, if the temperature is really high, do not apply fertilizer first. Fertilization had better be carried out in the evening, the second day in the morning to pour back water, you can avoid fertilizer damage.

3. No pruning: plants should be willing to prune and remove old leaves, yellow leaves and diseased leaves, which is conducive to plant photosynthesis and nutrient absorption. Generally, the spring orchid can be pruned about half a month after blooming. When the last flower on the inflorescence of summer orchid blossoms for a week, it will be cut off at the basin surface 3cm and properly fertilized after pruning to ensure adequate nutrition and sprouting leaves.

4. The last point is that many new orchids will make a common fault, that is, the orchids are planted too deep, which can easily lead to root rot and stuffy buds. In fact, the right thing to do is to expose the head of the orchid plant to the outside, which is conducive to the healthy growth of the plant.

Pay attention to these points when raising orchids, and becoming a god is just around the corner!
