At ordinary times, we can't grow flowers without soil. Many friends change soil for potted plants and dig some garden soil to raise them. How long will it take to find that the potted soil is seriously hardened? in fact, a single soil can not grow flowers well. This requires a variety of soil to be mixed. Today, let's take a look at these commonly used soil for flower cultivation.

1. Garden soil

Most of the garden soil is drawn from the nearest materials, such as the topsoil in the vegetable garden, the orchard, and the green belt of the community.

Garden soil is the most common soil, slightly acidic, water and fertilizer conservation capacity is relatively strong, but the air permeability is relatively poor, easy to consolidate. When you use it, you'd better add some materials to mix it.

2. Rotten leaf soil

Most of the rotten leaf soil is collected from the woods and bamboo forests.

Rotten leaf soil is the soil formed by the decay and fermentation of the residual branches and leaves of big trees after sun and rain. The rotten leaf soil is loose and soft, acidic, rich in nutrients, good effect of water and fertilizer conservation, and suitable for the cultivation of all kinds of flowers.

3. Peat soil

Peat soil is mostly from river ponds, ponds, lakesides, etc., after drying and processing.

Peat soil is formed by the continuous accumulation of organic matter under water, some of which have been carbonized and blackened. The soil is acidic, contains a lot of organic matter, as well as a lot of fiber humic acid, the effect of water and fertilizer conservation is very good, is a good aquaculture soil.

4. Coniferous soil

Most of the coniferous soil comes from the topsoil under pine and cypress trees.

Coniferous soil is made from the falling objects of pine trees by accumulation and decay, and the topsoil is taken when used. The soil is acidic and nutritious. You can also collect some pine needles to lay at the bottom of the flowerpot, permeable and breathable, the effect is very good.

5. Sandy soil

Most of the sandy soil comes from beaches, beaches, etc.

The main function of sandy soil is to increase the air permeability and drainage of the soil, there are no nutrients in it, and other soil is added when it is used, which is conducive to the rooting and root permeability of plants.

6. Other

There are still many substances in life that can be used to grow flowers and seedlings, such as sawdust, bark, wheat bran, rice chaff, sawdust and so on, which can be used as flower soil, but they can only be used after a period of fermentation.

Vermiculite, perlite, ceramsite and so on, these things themselves do not have any nutrients, but can play the role of permeability, good drainage performance, can cooperate with other soil for planting.

Evergreen, hanging orchid, gentleman orchid, poinsettia and so on, these flowers like to dredge the breathable soil, especially the flowers with fleshy roots, the soil must be loose and breathable, otherwise the drainage is not good, the stagnant water is easy to rot and get sick.

Orchids, gardenias, camellias, jasmine flowers, rhododendrons and so on, these plants like acidic soil, if the soil is alkaline, there will be yellow leaves and fallen leaves, so we should pay attention to

Rose, cactus, geranium, chrysanthemum, these plants are alkali-resistant, the use of soil is not so picky.

Disinfect the soil before use:

Because the soil comes from nature, the soil will inevitably contain bacteria, insect eggs and other microorganisms, which must be treated before entering the basin and can only be used after sterilization.

Disinfection methods: 1, exposure: flat in the sun, exposure for three or four days. 2. Heating: spread in containers such as iron pot, iron plate or microwave oven, heat and disinfect. 3. Boiled water: pour freshly boiled water on top and mix it, repeat it several times, and then dry it. 4. Medicament: use carbendazim, chlorothalonil and other fungicides, dilute it with water, spray it and turn it over, then seal it with cling film for three to five days.
