The breeding method of pepper wood

1. Sowing seeds

Breeding pepper wood by sowing has some disadvantages: the plant will grow slowly, the variability will be great, and the yield will be unstable, but the plant will be stronger and have a long life.

First of all, to select the fruit, must be ripe, full and disease-free fruit, remove the upper skin and wash clean, and then put it in a cool place to dry.

Before sowing, we should soak the seed, then take it out and put it on the fine sand to promote germination. It will sprout in about half a month, and at this time it can be sown on the seedbed.

The nursery bed should be chosen in a relatively cool place with a layer of sand of about two centimeters. When sowing, you can sow on demand, or if there are more seeds, you can also sow them evenly. Then cover it with a layer of soil or grass, and finally pour some water on it. Seeds will grow after 20 or 30 days, and weeds must be removed so that they can grow well.

2. Cuttage

Cutting is best selected in the spring and autumn, but autumn will be better, at this time the rooting rate will be particularly high.

Select the semi-lignified branch, but its rooting rate will not be high, so use rooting agent for it. It is best to choose a year or so, the length of about 10 to 15 centimeters of the middle branch, easier to survive.

For soil, it needs to be breathable and acidic. If you want to bury 2/3 of the cuttings, you can cover the soil with a film, and the humidity needs to be higher. The root will grow out in 45 days, and it's time to transplant.
