Last Updated: 2024/11/13, There are many reasons for the yellowing of primrose leaves: if you water too much, you should reduce the amount of water properly; if the soil permeability is poor, you should change to a suitable soil in time; if it is caused by fertilization, you should timely increase or reduce the amount of fertilizer application; if there are diseases and insect pests, you should remove them in time and trim them regularly.

1. Reduce watering

Reason: primrose is more afraid of waterlogging, especially in the rainy season or too much water, there is no way to discharge it in time, its roots can not breathe normally, and the leaves will turn yellow.

Solution: the right amount of watering, must not be based on feeling, if too much water can bask in the sun after watering, it is best to check the soil before watering, if it is moist, you do not need watering.

2. Change the soil

Reason: primrose is generally raised outdoors, may often be drenched in the rain, if the use of the soil is relatively sticky, poor permeability of stagnant water can not be lost, its roots have no way to breathe normally, it will affect the leaves, make it yellow.

Solution: it can be replaced with soil with good permeability, or you can put some coarse sand at the bottom of the flowerpot, or update the soil in time after being drenched in the rain to maintain good permeability.

3. Rational fertilization

Reason: it generally needs to increase the amount of fertilizer in the peak growth period, if the lack of nutrients will affect its growth.

Solution: reasonable fertilization in the process of culture, the amount of fertilizer is also different in different growth conditions, one nitrogen fertilizer before flowering and one topdressing after flowering.

4. Eliminate insect pests

Reason: diseases and insect pests may occur during the growing season, which can harm leaves or even lead to non-flowering.

Solution: timely use of chemicals to remove diseases and insect pests, usually reasonable pruning to reduce the probability of insect pests.
