The stem is erect, purplish red; the leaves are alternately opposite, oval, fleshy, smooth and glossy, the leaf margin is dentate, the leaves are green, and the color changes gradually to fuchsia or maroon in the growing environment with sufficient light and large temperature difference.

Racemes, florets yellow, petals 4, blooming from late spring to summer.

Cuttings are usually used for propagation and cultivation, and they like sunny, warm, dry, well-ventilated growth environment and well-drained soil.
