Not only do outdoor flowers easily attract pests, but indoor potted plants will inevitably be infected with diseases and insect pests. Let's take a look at the six most common pests. If they are not controlled in time, they will reproduce very quickly. Let's see why we don't have to get rid of pests.

If you can completely remove pests from indoor potted plants without chemicals, I recommend using healthy and harmless control methods. in fact, if there is no pest control at the initial stage, and so on, it will be very difficult to remove them organically.

1. Aphids

Aphids usually appear on the tender buds and leaves of branches and leaves, and they also suck juice from flowers, which can be seen by the whole plant in severe cases.

At the beginning of the outbreak of aphids, they are usually hidden in the back of the leaves. Most of the aphids are green, some of them are black or gray, and the aphids are small, but they reproduce quickly and usually gather in large groups to be found. they will absorb plant juice and secrete honeydew, making plants infected with viruses and other fungal diseases, and the leaves will slowly change color and twist.

Want to control the chimney is also relatively simple, at the beginning can be directly washed away with water, without the help of other drugs.

You can also spray with mild soapy water. If there are only a few, you can flatten them with your fingers. If you find that there are many insect pests, you can spray them with liquid soap and water. Do not spray too much. Shaking bubbles can prove that the concentration is enough.

After spraying the liquid soap solution for five minutes, you need to spray it again with clean water to prevent the solution from remaining on the leaves.

If the pest is particularly serious, it needs to be sprayed. Most of the permethrin insecticides on the market are effective against aphids. They are common indoor low-toxic pesticides with less harm.

2. Pink scale

Pink scale is more harmful to plants, they will directly absorb plant juice, causing greater damage to plants, they usually gather together, look like a mass of cotton, these are actually pink scale.

If it is not treated in time, the sap of the plant will be absorbed, causing the leaves to turn yellow and fall off. This pest is very common on the branches and leaves of all kinds of plants. The plants infected with pink scale look like they are dehydrated, and the leaves will fall slowly very quickly. At this time, more watering will not help the plants, but will be counterproductive.

After being infected with pink scale, the branches and leaves feel sticky. These are the secretions of pink scale. If they just broke out, they can be stabbed to death one by one with toothpicks. Of course, they can also be washed away with flood.

If the infection is more serious, you need to spray timely prevention and treatment, you can use avermectin EC or parathion EC spray, but in an outdoor ventilated environment.

3. Red spider

Indoor plants are particularly easy to infect red spiders, and its damage to plants is the worst, and it is also very difficult to remove, because red spiders are basically imperceptible at the beginning of their outbreaks, and they are also mites that cannot be seen with the naked eye. By the time they are found, they have grown into a large area.

In adulthood, red spiders will accumulate small webs on their leaves, and the leaves will be yellow. As shown in the picture above, these red spiders do not feed on insects, but absorb plant juice, and weave webs just to protect themselves. After the outbreak, the whole plant will be maimed.

Red spider infected leaves will appear spots, but also there will be a lot of small brown spots, easy to be mistaken for the plant's normal leaf yellow. These spots are actually formed by the red spider's mouthparts piercing into the leaf cells.

Red spiders hate water and humid environment very much, and it takes a while to get rid of pests. Put the plant in the shower and rinse it with warm water once a week, which can gradually reduce the number of red spiders. In the maintenance position, pay attention to the humidification of spray-like water every day. Abbe eats a certain amount of air humidity, and the red spider will be completely removed over time.

You can also buy some natural enemies of mites, such as Chilean mites, Amblyseius mites, teratophora mites, etc., which are beneficial insects that eat red spiders, specialize in eating pests, and can also swallow aphids and scale insects, but pay attention to keeping the temperature above 18 degrees.

Of course, there are also friends who spray directly in order to save trouble, such as the common avermectin, Jinmanzhi and Aika mites and so on.

4. Scale insects

Scale insects are very thorny pests and are very difficult to eradicate, because they have a very hard brown shell, and they will hide in the dead leaves of the plants, and they will continue to absorb the sap of the plants, and then the leaves will wilt and slowly wither and fall.

Scale insects will also leave sticky honeydew on the branches and leaves, which will slowly turn black, like mold, and easily turn into gray mold.

Personally, it is recommended to remove directly with alcohol, with cotton swabs dipped with alcohol directly on the body of pests, branches and leaves should be smeared everywhere to ensure that there are no pests hidden, so that it can be completely cleared.

A small number of shell beetles can be crushed to death directly, and some ladybugs can be caught or bought to help them catch and eat them, while preventing ants from killing them.

5. Blackie Fei

Xiao Hei Fei is also a common indoor pest, but they do less harm to plants, but they reproduce very fast, not only look very scary, but also fly around.

The method to prevent Xiaohei from flying is very simple. They will lay eggs in the soil and hatch once a week. They can reproduce very quickly, and they are very common in places where the soil is wet or where there is stagnant water. As long as you pour out the stagnant water in time and let the soil dry, it's still easy to get rid of Xiaohei.

First of all, it is necessary to keep the soil dry. Do not water the basin soil until it is completely dry. The soil can be covered with dry sand or diatomite, which can prevent Xiao Hei's eggs from hatching and they cannot lay eggs in the soil.

Of course, you can also spray pyrethroid insecticides directly, but you can only know that the small black flying adults have little effect on the larvae.

6. Snails and slugs

In the warm and humid environment, it is easy to see snails and slugs, they will eat plant leaves, slugs are common slugs, they like warm and humid environment.

If snails and slugs are not removed in time, they will quickly eat up the leaves of the plant. They usually work at night and hide after seeing light in the morning, but they will leave a sticky path around them. These are the marks they crawled.

A circle of eggshell fragments can be sprinkled directly around the plant to prevent them from approaching, or it can be caught after dusk, and a small container can be filled with some beer to trap slugs and snails.
