To plant flowers and plants in the city

The biggest obstacles are not pests and droughts.

It's-- ground! Fang! No, no! Enough!

Today, I will teach you a super trick of growing vegetables and flowers on the balcony!

It was invented by Willem Van Cotthem, a professor of Belgian botany, to teach everyone to use plastic bottles to make a vertical vegetable garden, saving space and easy to operate! Celery, coriander, garlic, lettuce, spinach. These families can grow vegetables that they often eat, as well as strawberries, tomatoes and other fruits. Of course, growing flowers is also very good! Let's learn together!

First of all, you need an ordinary mineral water bottle.

Take scissors and cut off the bottom of the mineral water bottle.

Poke several outlets at the head of the mineral water bottle with scissors, and note that the head of the first bottle at the bottom should be covered with a lid.

Put the pre-mixed nutritious soil into a bottle (the proportion of soil can be like this: peat: perlite: vermiculite at 4:1:1 and mix well).

Fix the bottle full of culture soil upside down to an upright shelf, guardrail, or wall.

In accordance with the above steps, cut the bottom of multiple plastic bottles and fill them with soil. note that the middle bottles remove the lid from the head, and there is no need to drill out of the water hole.

Like this, the plastic bottles are piled upside down while loading dirt.

Put the stacked plastic bottles upside down in the plastic bottles at the bottom.

Fasten to a shelf, guardrail, or wall with rope or tape.

Take another plastic bottle, close the lid, and punch a water hole with a tool on the lid.

Cut off the bottom of the plastic bottle and place it upside down on top of a string of plastic bottles.

Add water to the top plastic bottle.

Water flows out gradually through the outlet hole of the top plastic bottle.

Water passes through the soil and outlet holes and gradually seeps down to the bottom.

Starting from the bottom, cut each plastic bottle into a square window with a knife. be careful to cut only the upper, left and right sides of the square, and don't cut off the lower edges.

Open the plastic sheet, poke a hole with your finger or punch.

Plant all the vegetables, flowers and seeds you want to grow.

And so on, other bottles operate in the same way. Note that the top 1-2 bottles are used for water storage and watering, do not make holes.

When finished, the watering can be poured from the plastic bottle above. In addition, if you apply fertilizer, you can melt the fertilizer into the water and apply liquid fertilizer.

A few months later, it was green and full of vitality!

This vertical vegetable garden can also be planted on walls and wooden shelves, which is easy to operate, saves money and is environmentally friendly, fresh and delicious, and there is no need to spend money on vegetables at home.
