First, it is clearly recorded in the Sketch Classic written by Su in the Tang Dynasty that "Muhirong comes from Dingzhou. Second, when Li Shizhen wrote the Compendium of Materia Medica in the Ming Dynasty, following the saying of the Classic of Materia Medica, he visited Changde and confirmed that the hibiscus produced in Dingzhou was an authentic "authentic" medicinal material, which was recorded in the Compendium of Materia Medica, saying that its skin could be used as a rope, flowers and leaves could be used as medicine, and it had a magical effect in treating carbuncle swelling.
