In the actual bonsai modeling, we often encounter the dry type is not very ideal pile material, we need to take it to the ideal state. Of course, small branches are easy to take, but when it comes to big work, it is difficult to bend, which is not something that ordinary people can do. Let's take a look at the following piles and learn how bonsai masters bend it:

Use a chisel to make a slot in the forced part where you need to take the bend, and the slotting part is in the same direction as the bend.

The depth of the deep groove added by an angle grinder is about half of the dry diameter. If there is no angle grinder, use a chisel and use more kung fu.

As always, wrap it with brown flakes or strips of cloth to protect it from breaking. Put a piece of skin or other soft thing in the stressed area to protect it, and find a thick stick against the trunk that needs to bend.

Press the trunk against the direction of the stick and bend it. This is a strenuous task and you need help. Then fine-tune it to the ideal state with self-tightening wire.

By the same token, this method can also be used for the bending of thicker branches.
