Last Updated: 2024/10/07, To sow primrose, we should choose shallow, well-drained pots, healthy, full seeds and nutrient-rich, loose and breathable soil. The sowing time is from July to August, put the prepared soil into a container, and then sow the seeds into the soil.

1. Select a container

For the four seasons primrose, it is suitable for planting in pots with shallow and good drainage.

2. Select seeds

To sow seeds, choose healthy, full seeds. In addition, it should be noted that the seed life of Primrose is relatively short, so it needs to be sown immediately after harvest. If you don't sow them right away, you can dry them indoors, seal them up and store them in the refrigerator.

3. Prepare soil

The rotten leaf soil, peat soil, stable fertilizer soil and sandy soil are evenly mixed as culture soil according to the ratio of 3: 1: 1. In addition, appropriate amount of fertilizer can be added, which is not only beneficial to the germination of seeds. It is also beneficial to the growth and development of the plant.

4. Select time

In general, choose July or August to sow seeds.

5. Sowing and later stage management

Put the configured soil into the container without filling it too much, a distance of one or two centimeters from the mouth of the basin. And then sow the seeds into the soil. Because the seeds are very small, there is no need to cover a layer of soil.

Then there is the control of various conditions. First of all, the temperature, controlled at around 15 to 20 degrees Celsius, is more conducive to its germination. In addition, there is humidity, sufficient water is very beneficial to its sprouting. To achieve this, you can cover the top of the container with a piece of glass or plastic film to moisturize.

Make sure that the conditions are right, wait about a week or two, and it will sprout. When the seedlings grow about five true leaves, they can be planted.
