Last Updated: 2024/10/07, Soil: weak acid soil with good permeability and PH between 5-6 is needed to raise gardenia. Light: to be adequate, you can raise it directly in the sun except in the middle of summer. Moisture: keep the basin soil moist except in winter, and take measures to improve air humidity in summer. Temperature: 20-28 ℃ in weekdays, 5-12 ℃ in winter.

1. Soil

Gardenia flower cultivation needs to use weak acid soil with good air permeability and PH between 5-6, and rotten leaf soil and peat soil mixed with general garden soil can be used as its culture soil.

Second, lighting

Sufficient sunlight is a necessary condition for the growth of gardenia. If there is no light for a long time, its branches will be very thin and difficult to bloom. In addition to the need for proper shade in summer, there is no problem keeping it in the sun in other seasons.

Third, moisture

Gardenia likes wet growth conditions and should keep the basin soil moist except in winter. When the air is dry in summer, use a spray can to spray some water on its leaves, or put a pot of water next to its flowerpot to increase air humidity.

4. Temperature

Gardenia is suitable for growing in the environment of 20-28 ℃, it needs certain measures to cool down when the summer temperature is too high, keep 5-12 ℃ in winter, not too low, otherwise it will be frozen, and it can not be too high, otherwise it will break its dormancy.

V. matters needing attention

1. Acid soil. Usually when watering, one or two drops of vinegar can be added to the water, which can reduce the pH of the soil and make the gardenia grow better.

2. Timely fertilization. Gardenia is more like fertilizer, in its growing period to fertilize it, thin fertilizer diligently. Some phosphate fertilizer should be applied before flowering to help it bloom better.
