Last Updated: 2024/11/23, There are many reasons for yellowing succulent leaves: if the soil is not drained enough, replace the permeable soil, and if it is caused by too much watering, loosen the soil with a shovel and reduce the frequency of watering. If it is caused by lack of light, move it to a place with plenty of light for maintenance.

1. Change the soil

Reason: if the selected soil drainage is insufficient, the water poured into the soil can not infiltrate into the soil in time, succulent plants will not be able to get enough water, resulting in yellow leaves.

Solution: replace the permeable soil for succulent plants.

2. Reduce watering

Reason: usually to succulent plants watered too much, resulting in stagnant water in the soil, it will affect the root respiration of the plant. Once the root is damaged, the function of absorbing nutrients from the soil will be hindered. If the leaves are not provided with sufficient nutrients, they will turn yellow.

Solution: loosen the soil for succulent plants, that is, insert the soil carefully with a shovel and shake it gently to loosen the soil so that the water in it can evaporate quickly. The frequency of watering should be reduced in the future.

3. Increase the light

Reason: if it is usually placed in a dark place, without enough light, it will not be able to synthesize chlorophyll normally and will cause the leaves of the plant to turn yellow.

Solution: move the succulent plant to a place with plenty of light for maintenance.

4. Points for attention

Don't pull out all the succulent yellow leaves as soon as they are found. Because succulent leaves store a lot of nutrients and pull them out directly, these nutrients will be wasted. It is true that one or two leaves do not have many nutrients, but when the number is more, the total amount of nutrients is also very large. You can wait until their nourishment is absorbed and begin to shrivel before pulling them out.
