A few days ago, we welcomed the Beginning of Summer, with the rising temperature and muggy environment, aphids are also gradually rampant. This is one of the most common and difficult to eradicate pests, not only tenacious vitality, but also extremely fast reproduction, must be dealt with as soon as possible, otherwise they are likely to become the chief culprit to destroy your garden.

Tabular characteristics of aphid infection

Aphids are very small insects. There are thousands of species of aphids, including yellowish green and black. They mainly feed on plant juice and usually hide on the back or side of the leaves, which will prevent the growth of plants. Serious ones can even cause plants to wither and die.

In order to find the traces of aphids early, it is necessary to fully understand the plant characteristics of aphids. Typical plants infected with aphids generally have the following three characteristics:

1. There are white dots on the leaf surface

These white objects are the shell left over from the breeding and evolution of aphids, which indicates that the plant has been patronized by aphids. Be sure to observe the foliage of the plant carefully and take measures to remove it earlier.

2. Leaf atrophy and bud deformity

Once it is found that there is something wrong with the growth of the plant, there is an inexplicable atrophy of leaves or abnormal shape of the bud, which is likely to be a sign that aphids are about to spread.

3. Macula appears in the leaves.

When it is found that there are unknown yellow spots on the leaf surface or back of the plant, and these spots have a tendency to expand gradually, it shows that the plant may have been infected with aphids, and the aphids are gradually spreading. At this time, we must do a good job in virus elimination and kill these pests in the cradle earlier.

A simple trick to get rid of aphids

1. Plant ash

Plant ash has excellent insecticidal efficacy, especially for soil aphids and other pests, the insecticidal effect is very significant, and environmental protection is convenient, so it is recommended to flower friends.

Plant ash can be spread directly on the soil surface of the flowerpot, or you can mix water and plant ash evenly, and then spray the solution on the soil surface. The main purpose of this method is to remove aphids from the soil and prevent its endless aftermath.

2. Citrus solution

Citrus peels do not contain limonene, which can not only effectively kill aphids, but also form a natural shield on the surface of plants to prevent the re-invasion of aphids.

Tear the citrus peel into small pieces, add an appropriate amount of warm water in a container, soak for about 24 hours, and then spray the solution on the surface of flowers infected with aphids, which can effectively kill insects.

3. Soak in water for cut tobacco

This is also a good way to kill aphids effectively, and the operation is very simple.

Soak about 20 cigarette butts in water and let stand for 12 hours until the aqueous solution turns brown. After that, the solution is diluted with five to eight times the water and poured onto the soil surface, which can effectively kill and prevent aphids.

4. Garlic kills insects

As garlic contains a considerable amount of sulfur, it can dispel aphids, disinfect and sterilize, so it is the best choice to kill aphids.

Mash the garlic after peeling, add an appropriate amount of water (about four to five times) to mix evenly, can add some citrus peel, can play the role of removing odor. After spraying the solution on the infected area, it can kill the aphid quickly and prevent it from attacking again.

5. Skillfully use detergent

This is what the editor learned from a flower grower. The use of home detergent can also kill aphids. The editor has tried it himself, and the effect is really good.

Mix detergent and water at a ratio of about 1 to 500, and then spray on the surface of plants infected with aphids. This aqueous solution can suffocate aphids quickly, and the effect is so good that it can be used once or twice to kill all aphids in the soil.
