Last Updated: 2024/11/08, Raise carnations, soft and thick, strong air permeability, good water retention, temperature of about 19-21 ℃, appropriate amount of moisture and sufficient light. In addition, we should also pay attention to the occurrence of leaf spot, aphids and red spiders. If you want to reproduce, you can use cutting or sowing.

I. Culture environment

1. Soil. Carnations prefer floral soil with soft and thick, strong permeability and good water retention. It is best to choose sandy soil for aquaculture, not too clayey soil.

2. Temperature. Usually give carnations 19-21 ℃ growth conditions, and pay attention to the temperature difference between day and night within 10 ℃. To take certain measures to keep out the cold in winter, it is best to set the temperature above 9 ℃ and below 35 ℃ in summer.

3. Moisture. Carnations are very afraid of stagnant water and must not be overwatered. Usually do not water too frequently, wait until the flower soil is dry and then water it.

4. Sunshine. The carnation likes the sun very much. It can accept all-day sunshine at ordinary times, but it still needs proper shade in summer. In addition, it also needs proper shading during its nursery and flowering stage.

Second, common diseases and insect pests

1. Leaf spot. If there is a disease spot on the stem or leaf of patience, it may be suffering from this disease. This requires us to remove the diseased plant in time, stop watering, and then spray Dyson manganese or chlorothalonil for treatment.

2. Aphids, red spiders, etc. If there are fewer bugs on the carnation plant, we can use physical methods to get it off, and then spray medicine to disinfect and kill the eggs. If there are more bugs on the plant, you can remove and destroy the diseased leaves, and then spray omethoate solution for treatment.

3.Botrytis cinerea. If the flowers, stems or leaves of Cornelius are covered with gray mold, it may be the disease. This requires us to remove the diseased plants in time, strengthen ventilation and light transmission, and spray chlorothalonil for treatment.

III. Methods of reproduction

1. Cutting. Cut off the long branches of healthy, disease-free 10cm with joints, insert them into the soil, water them thoroughly, and leave them in the shade for a week or so. After it takes root, it can be preserved in a sunny place.

2. Sowing seeds. This method should be chosen in early spring or early autumn. By adjusting the temperature to about 20 ℃, you can sow the seeds of the carnation on the prepared soil. Then cover a thin layer of soil, pour some water, slowly maintain, wait for it to sprout.
