Some time ago, a flower friend asked whether wooden begonia could be propagated by cuttings, but in fact, I did not recommend it very much. Because the survival rate of wood begonia cutting is not high, and the cost of the cycle is too long, so roughly talk about how to breed wood begonia is more convenient, fast, the survival rate is higher.

If you want to use cutting propagation, then generally choose in the spring and autumn, branches selected in the same year semi-lignified twigs have a higher survival rate. Cutting medium sand, vermiculite, peat soil and so on are OK, as long as clean. Water thoroughly to moisturize, about two or three weeks to grow callus, wait until the root system is at least three or four centimeters before pseudo-planting.

Recommended breeding methods:

1. Pressing strip

Small seedlings can be pressed on the ground to cover the soil, large seedlings, then use high pressure. The survival rate of striping is very high as long as it is operated properly, and the growth cycle is short, and it is not difficult to operate.

2. Ramet

In early spring or when the fallen leaves are dormant in autumn and winter, the branches extracted from the roots can be ramified with part of the root system, so it is easy to survive.

3. Grafting

Grafting is a little more difficult than the above ones, but I think it's okay to play a few more times. After all, most people who play gardening can only be mastered by hands-on operation, and no matter how much theory is said, it is useless. Rootstocks can use seedlings, and grafting methods such as bud grafting and branch grafting are acceptable. If grafted, it should be the fastest growing one.
