English name Paddle plant, Desert's cabbage, plant height about 50 cm 60 cm, width about 20 cm 30 cm, stem slightly thick, attached with white powder, grayish white, much branched; leaves opposite, closely arranged, similar to rose-shaped, leaf shape similar to ovate round, 10 cm long, 5 cm 10 cm wide, entire, apex obtuse. The leaf color is light green, covered with a thick layer of white powder, showing grayish green, the leaf edge has a circle of red lines, in the cool season, in the sunny outdoor, the leaf edge will appear gradually red spots. The flower stem protruding 50-70 cm from the top of the stem, tube-shaped, yellow, about 1.5 cm long, closely arranged, is a panicle; the flowers will remain in bloom for a long time until adventitious pedicel seedlings grow on the stem, and the mother plant will wither. The stem is stout, the leaf shape is beautiful, and it has a certain ornamental value.

The reproduction of Tang Yin can be carried out in the warm growing season for bud insertion, leaf insertion or using stem segments with leaves as cuttings. The pedicel seedlings can be picked and dried slightly in the basin, or the leaves or cuttings can be slightly dried for 1 or 2 days, and after the wound heals, they can be inserted into a mixture of coarse sand or perlite and vermiculite to maintain moisture and prevent rain and strong light (about 40% shade). It will take root in about 20 to 35 days. In fact, seeds can also be used to reproduce, but for a long time, the seeds are light brown and very small, so they can be sown in a shallow dish and covered with a thin layer of fine sand, which can be covered with plastic sheeting or glass sheet to maintain humidity. Spray some fungicides first to prevent seedlings from suffering from fungal diseases, and they will germinate in about 15 to 30 days.

After cuttings or seedlings grow up, they can be planted in the basin. You can choose 4 parts of coarse river sand (fine foamed stone or plain burnt stone) plus 4 parts of fine river sand, and one part of the mixture of organic culture soil, perlite and vermiculite. At the initial stage, it can be planted in a 3.5-inch pot, and a larger pot can be selected according to the growth situation, or planted in the open field flower bed.
