With the development of technology, people pay more and more attention to home decoration, and there are more and more types and patterns of decorations and bonsai, which have changed from expensive ornaments with high performance and price to low-cost high-end ornaments made by themselves. Today we will talk about how to make exquisite and beautiful stone bonsai to replace those expensive potted plants.

Bonsai with stone is, as its name implies, bonsai attached to stone. Usually, the vitality of the plant that can grow from the cracks in the stone is very tenacious, so the bonsai with stone represents a kind of perseverance, with tenacious struggle and positive far-reaching significance, and at the same time, according to its tree shape and stone potential, concrete excellent viewing power.

At present, there are two production methods of stone bonsai according to the modification of stone body: first, hollowed-out type; second, mosaic type. The hollowed-out type is to drill holes from the surface of the stone, and a few holes are drilled on each surface according to a certain position, and the holes are finally connected, so that the center of the stone body is hollowed out to make a shape of "small mouth and big belly". Then, while putting the nutritious soil into the hole, the plant roots should be put in and stirred from time to time to avoid entanglement of the roots. It should be noted that the roots must be closely attached to the nutritious soil in order to facilitate the root to absorb water and grow.

After the interior is completed, the appearance of the stone body can be modified, and the bottom of the stone body can be repaired so that it is easy to place. If you want a water-type bonsai, you can put it into a shallow water basin filled with water; if you want a dry style, you can also directly chisel the stone body into a hollow type from top to bottom, with a "small mouth and a big belly", and then run through the stump and plant it in a basin filled with soil. in this way, both the roots are in the stone body, and there are roots in the soil. As the tree grows, it slowly merges with the stone body and becomes integrated.

The mosaic type means that several parallel and spaced long stripes are carved on the surface of the stone body, and its depth and width are determined according to the adult thickness of the tree species, and the stone body is taken out after soaking in water for several days. Then carefully embed the roots into these stripes, while embedding, temporarily fixed with tape, and then fixed with thin lead wire winding, after fixing, the tape can be removed.

In order to make the root system combine more closely with the stone body and grow, the root is sealed with thick mud, and then covered with moss. The lowest root is still buried in the nutritive soil, and the initial work is completed. After that, you need to water carefully every day, the moss can be removed in about one year, and the fine lead wire can be removed in two years, and then continue to water and take good care of it.

Note that different tree species are suitable for different stone bodies, and aquatic and xerophytes also need different choices, depending on the tree species you want to plant. Let's make a stone-attached stump bonsai in line with our own wishes.
