Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Many flower friends say that I grow flowers without anything, but they still bloom, but they are not. It is because there are nutrients in the soil, or flowers planted on the ground, fertilizers come from fallen leaves, withered grass, etc., family potted plants, or need regular fertilization.

Many flower lovers say that I do not need anything to grow flowers, but it is not true that there are nutrients in the soil, or flowers planted on the ground, fertilizer comes from fallen leaves, withered grass, etc., family potted plants still need regular fertilization, otherwise the nutrients in the soil are exhausted, the flowers will grow smaller and smaller.

The growth of flowers requires an organic nutrient solution rich in nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. Different nutrient elements play different roles, such as nitrogen fertilizer promoting growth, phosphorus fertilizer promoting flowering, and potassium fertilizer promoting root development and fruiting. Only when the three elements are complete, can they produce more beautiful flowers.

What kind of fertilizers are available?

Base fertilizer

Just bought flowers, you can use chicken, duck and fish dung, or fermented pine bark, pericarp and so on to the bottom of the flowerpot, as a base fertilizer, will slowly release nutrients and promote the growth of plant roots. However, it should be noted that the base fertilizer can not directly touch the root of the flower, either mix into the nutritious soil, or put it at the bottom, another layer of nutritious soil.

Liquid fertilizer

Can use ecologically safe, pure plant fermented organic fertilizer, rich and balanced content of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, adding a variety of organic matter, minerals, amino acids, promote plant rub growth, use once a week, diluted 500 times.

Solid fertilizer

Usually solid, you can dig a hole in the flowerpot, and then bury a few, or sprinkle directly into the flowerpot, can also release nutrients.

Organic fertilizer: self-made fertilizers are generally organic fertilizers, such as rotten rice water, peel, kitchen waste, bean dregs and so on.

Self-made organic fertilizer must first be rotten, the method is to add water to the material and seal it in a sunny place for about 2 months, and then mix the mature fertilizer into the soil or take the supernatant to dilute the water before watering the flowers.

However, it is recommended to use ready-made organic fertilizer, which is rich in nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, clean and safe, does not add chemical ingredients, promotes plant growth, buds, blossoms, and most importantly, clean and convenient.

How to apply fertilizer

It is better to apply thin fertilizer than thick fertilizer.

What if the fertilizer is too thick?

You can fill a basin of water, put the flowerpot in the water, let the water into the flowerpot from the bottom, dilute the fertilizer l

If it is an unfermented and thicker fertilizer, change the basin immediately, then rinse the root, and at the same time apply some carbendazim on the root to sterilize and disinfect.
